Weekly 'Suggest a Recipe for my Flavors' Thread - Week of March 04, 2016
submitted over 9 years ago by AutoModerator

Got a bunch of flavors but not sure how to make them work together? Post your list here, and our team of semi-professional mixologists will make suggestions for you! If you are impatient and want to do this on your own, here are a couple of good links:

  • /u/daath has a nice website that has this functionality, but you will need to register to make it work. It is not very intuitive but if you work with it you can input your flavors and get a list of recipes that you can make. IMO this is the better site if you have the patience to make it work for you. Edit2: to get this to work, first set up an account. Then add your flavors to the stash (under my page / my flavor stash). hit save. Then go back to the front page and click the link next to the search field, "Search by flavor stash". You can select a couple of your flavors and recipes that have those will pop up.
  • This site has a nice big search button with just what you're looking for.

Happy Mixing!

WTF do I use TFA Musk Candy in?

The only recipe I've found is from /u/johnny_yuma here but it doesn't appeal to me.

It's got some beautiful composition in volatiles, but I have no clue why it exists as a flavor.

Horehound and licorice maybe. I've been thinking about ordering some.

Yeah I was considering licorice actually. I like licorice with citrus a lot.

I don't think I've ever seen it used in a recipe, really. Someone once suggested it for pixie sticks flavor, but I hadn't tried it.

Guess I'll have to order some. I need to order soon anyways.

While I like the flavor and have tried it in many basic 2-3 ingredient mixes, it has the single most hated scent of any flavor I've used. I've heard everything from "old lady perfume" to "get that shit away from me now".

Oh man I probably will be all over it, then. If it stinks in concentrate, it probably brings some amazing notes in solution!

Peach 6%

Sweet cream 2%

This is my very basic peaches and cream, except I add TFA marshmallow @ 2%, but without it will still be awesome. Ok as a shake and vape but gets alot better after a few days.

You could even throw in CAP Raspberry at 0.5-1% for a boost to the strawberry.

Hazelnut and Key lime seem like opposite enough favors that they may possibly play together well, but I'm not 100% sure. Maybe a hazelnut doughnut combination of some sort too.

I'm just partial to nutella, sue me.

I'm guilty of making a chocolate, hazelnut, Graham cracker, dairy milk dessert vape.

I just made my first DIY order last night (super frikkin stoaked btw) and I ordered the following flavors;

CAP:

  • Bavarian Cream

TFA:

  • Watermelon

  • Coconut

  • Strawberry

  • Dragonfruit

  • Belgian Waffles

  • Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

  • Cheesecake Graham Crust

  • Crunchy Cereal

  • Rainbow Drops

  • Bavarian Cream (I got TFA and CAP to try them both out)

  • Red type II (not my thing but I think my GF needs a tobacco flavor to get her off cigarettes)

I got Strawberry, Coconut, and Watermelon for my favorite juice; Tiger's Blood. I also like the cereal and skittles juice I get from my local guy so I want to replicate those too but those should be fairly simple. I'm also thinking waffles, strawberry, and ice cream too.

Anybody have anything good with these? The only for sure one I have is as follows;

Tiger's Blood

TFA Strawberry 6-8%

TFA Coconut 4%

TFA Watermelon 2%

A nice, simple, three flavor shake and vape that I've gotten from my B&M for month's now. I don't know their exact formula but I aim to closely replicate the flavor if possible. I'm thinking that TFA dragonfruit at 1-3% would help the Strawberry really pop as opposed to being mildly muted by the coconut like the stuff I usually get is.

If any of this is way off please let me know because the closest I've come to mixing is diluting juice that's too harsh or has too much nic. I just have a world of possibility to tinker with and it's a tiddly bit overwhelming.

idk about red type but if it doesn't work out check out /r/cloudcollective for some tobacco direction.

Red type might be super potent and may need like 0.5% but I really dont know.

If you can get it to work, add like 0.1-0.3% acetyl pyrazine, then maybe a little bit of coconut or bav cream or. PM me or ask on here if you need more help.

Thanks for the input! I plan on making test batches at really low percentages to get a feel for the flavor and add on from there. The bav cream is a good idea.
