Notes:
I've always been a fan of chocolate mint ice cream. Not just because it's the general embodiment of the holidays, but also because of the taste. I love how chocolate and mint go together like best friends, and enjoy how the vanilla serves as the creamy backdrop for this beautiful pairing.
This is my attempt at replicating that in the form of an ejuice. When I was thinking of the flavors, I knew I wanted something that could be vaped fresh. That means no steeping for 2 months etc. I think this is delicious as a shake and vape, and will only improve over time.
THE CHOCOLATE
Capella Dutch Chocolate Mint is an delicious chocolate flavor. Seriously, if you're looking a chocolate that doesn't taste funky (I'm looking at you, TFA Double Chocolate Clear), go out and get a bottle for yourself. This will act as our base.
Even though this flavor is swell on its own, I have decided to pair it with Capella Dutch Double Chocolate because I wanted a more full-bodied chocolate. The addition of FW Milk Chocolate serves to fuse those flavors together.
THE MINT
Seriously, Creme De Menthe is all you really need. The Capella Dutch Mint already has some mint properties, so all you really need is that tiny boost to give it that icy effect. If you're a mint/menthol fanatic, I would also recommend some koolada/menthol.
THE ICE CREAM
Now I had a few choices for the vanilla ice cream. FW, Capella, TFA... Ultimately, I settled for Capella because it really resembles a true vanilla ice cream without any peppery properties.
THE REST
I added 1 drop per 5 ml of TFA Smooth, 2% Cotton Candy and Vanilla Swirl to help accentuate the flavor and bring out the sweetness.
CONCLUSION
Go ahead and whip up the recipe if you're a fan of Andes mints. And then leave a comment and tell me what you think! This is one of the recipes I'm selling at a local B&M, but it will also be in my juice line when it gets established. It's not a hot seller but then again, chocolate mint requires a certain niche. Personally I enjoy it a lot and can vape through a 30ml bottle in a day if I'm not careful. Enjoy!
How dare you sully the good name of TFA Double Chocolate Clear!
.
Ok, so there are better chocolate flavors, but I hate cleaning my coils more than I mind the taste of DCC. About how many ml of juice are you getting through before you have to change/clean your coils?
You're right on the coil department. This does wreck coils. Uhmm, usually change my coil when I start to taste a burnt taste. So maybe after refilling the ol' tank (subtank mini) two times?
