Quick question about flavor

Hey guys so I made my first bottle of liquid last week (Tuesday) and i started vaping it late last night but it hasn't got much flavor, heres my recipe ( https://gyazo.com/4e3d8e8663b9b52d3688208f62668376 ) So i was wondering if i used to much of both flavors or if I used too much overall, I left it to sit in a draw for about a week, shaked it quite abit by hand before i put it away also i used Diluent Aqueous Glycerine instead of normal vg because the shop i got my kit from said its easier to draw up in a syringe. could this be the cause of the lack in flavor or could it even be my build? I just got a new tank and its my second dual coil build, I'm going to try it on my subtank but i only have about 8ml left, I also stored it in a plastic bottle rather than a glass, I heard that plastic bottles can cause some of the flavor to fade, I'm a beginner at mixing so any advice would be great. Edit: The flavours were Banana and Strawberry shortcake

What vendor were the flavors? 10% TFA is usually safe. 10% FA, not so much. 10% of any banana is probably a bit high, although I've only really used FA banana.

I don't know anything about your fancy vg so can't comment on that.

I doubt it's the plastic bottle. Plastic might not be as good as glass, but it won't remove all flavor.

They're abbreviated company names, TFA=The Flavor apprentice, FA=Flavor Art (I think), CAP=Capella, FW=Flavor West, there's more that's just all I have off the top of my head

From my understanding I believe what you bought is watered down VG. Its an alternative like you said but I don't know how it affects flavour or how much water to VG ratio is in there. I think you should just go with reg VG. The shop you got it from did and watered it down for a bigger profit margin. Not saying its bad, because it could be great but you can add distilled water yourself for a better price.

The flavours are @ a high %. When I first started I thought higher % meant more flavour but eventually learned that's not how it works. Try cutting it in half and getting some normal VG or figure out what the water to VG ratio is. Also, shake that shit before using it in case the two separated over time.

There may be other factors like vapours tongue from over stimulating your pallet, muting from over flavouring, or the classic lack of sweetener, or using some flavours that just suck.

Next steps: Get some actual VG, cut the flavours in half and retry (keep what you have to compare) its part of the fun, amirite? And great on you for taking the dip, its a lot of fun. Hope this helps

Thanks man, yeah i was a bit nervous mixing it but it was good fun, just waiting for it to steep kind of sucks, but yeah ill give it another go, should i make some 5ml bottles to test before i make anything bigger, also where can i get some PG and VG, like best quality and cheap?

It depends on your country, but there's a really good list put together by the mods here about where to buy supplies in the sidebar info -->

I still have issues with waiting for things to steep. The way I go it is I play with fruits as they are typically shake and vape (unless there's alcohol) while I wait for other things to steep.

Oh yeah I knew that I thought you meant it actually like diluted it and produced less flavor, yeah for sure more flavor != better flavor

After searching it out, your VG has been diluted with water. Def flavor killer. Try some plain VG.

You don't mention the flavor brand names, but I'm sure that's too high. Try 5% of each.

Brand was totally wicked, its like the only big brand in the UK and i posted the link to the kit. any idea where to get some VG and PG? it seems alot cheaper online than getting it in the shop.

In the chain drugstores and walmart here, it is labeled "glycerin". Humco brand I believe. 120 ml bottle pretty cheap. Now that is just if you want something quick to test.

Online is def best price. Amazon probably. I get mine from Essential Depot.

Vendor/flavor definitely matters to give you some accurate input, but it does seem a little high. I try to stay under 15% as a general rule of thumb, esp if using like FA, INW, or FLV.

could anyone recomend somewhere to get PG/VG and the best place to get flavouring, I checked the sidebar but got a bit confused.

Totally wicked sells pg and vg just search propylene glycol or vegetable glycerine to find it and don't by the aqueous glycerine or the ag as that is watered down. they seem to have decent prices (about 1,30 pounds more than where I get mine in the US)
