Chocolate Banana Smoothie
submitted over 9 years ago by VurveVurve with the Swurve

Time for a new recipe boys and girls.

Today, we are going to be doing another super simple one, so hopefully most new people are able to give this one a shot.

Chocolate Banana Smoothie

  • Banana Cream (LA) - 3%
  • Double Chocolate Clear (tfa) - 2%
  • Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (tfa) - 0.75%
  • Fresh Cream (FA) - 0.5%
  • EM - to personal preference
  • Koolada - to personal preference

Lorann Banana cream is an awesome flavor. It has a very authentic banana flavor which is why he are using it over TFA banana cream, but both are great flavors. You wouldn't have much of a problem subbing them in this recipe. We will also be getting most of our cream from this flavor. LA's banana cream is also really potent to my tastes. I can't tell you how many juices I've messed up by adding too much.

Double chocolate clear. Because it's chocolate and tastes great. Kind of a syrup taste, but that's ok, it's what we need! It pairs with the banana so beautifully too. You could even stop right here worth these two flavors and still have something awesome.

VBIC and fresh cream come together to create a really nice ice cream flavor. I generally use then in a 2:1 ratio, but I don't want too much vanilla in this. Just a subtle hint. However, VBIC also aids in creating a super dense mouth feel with the banana cream to make it feel like you're sucking a shake through a straw.

Just a tiny bit of EM (1-2 drops per 10ml) to smooth out the banana and lend some sweetness. It's a smoothie after all. Then the same amount of koolada. Just to make it cold and refreshing.

That's it. It can shake and vape, but as you know, creams take time to fully develop.

Edit: Just saw Cannibal posted a real similar recipe. His is probably better if you have all ingredients. I made this with new people in mind.

Banana Cream is my favorite flavor I think.

This looks promising. All the more reason for me to get LA banana cream now

I don't have a lot of LA flavors, but this one is definitely a must have if you like banana.

It's not as creamy as TFA, but it's still really damn creamy.

I think of a LA more like a puréed banana, while TFA is more like pudding.

MY use of FLV banana in combo of TFA banana cream works well for the best of both worlds. I intend to try LA version soon

Yet another FLV flavor to add to my list...

I've been looking for a post like this. I've been eyeing up FLV banana and just haven't had enough persuasion to pull the trigger. I've been searching for that perfect banana and just can't find it. I used to really love TFA banana cream, but I started to hate it and just use TFA ripe banana with my own cream bases. It's closer but still not quite there. Can you give some more feedback on how you like FLV banana?

Sounds good and nice notes! I will try when my double chocolate clear comes in. I can't help but think peanut butter would be a good addition to this.

My more "complicated" version of this recipe uses FLV peanut butter. It is indeed delicious.

This was really good. I changed mine a little bit and did less LA banana cream and added in a little TFA banana cream plus a little bit of vanillin. To me it tasted exactly like a chocolate banana.

Glad you liked it.

I'm planning on posting my advanced version of this later tonight. I find it to be a bit more complex and decadent, but adding tfa banana while lowering the LA is something I do for it.

I only just got the TFA but LA tasted too much like candy to me. This recipe was super simple and yet had a very spot on taste, I was really impressed by how it tasted. I might play with the different banana percentages but I don't want to change much at this point.

That's crazy to me. While I really like TFA for its extra creaminess, I find LA to be more authentic banana flavor.

TFA tastes like artificial banana to me.
