Need help with a pink lemonade
submitted over 9 years ago by boringaze

I found a great pink lemonade recipe on this sub, but I'd prefer it be a little more sour. Here's the recipe:

1% Ripe Strawberry (TFA) 6% Lemonade (LorAnne's) 2% Raspberry Sweet (TFA)

Thanks

That's my recipe.

Increase lemonade to 8% or add 1-2% lemon Sicily.

I've never used TFA tart, but that may help as well.

+1 for lemon Sicily I can't get enough of that stuff in any lemon mix. Flavor express carries a good lemon as well that I like to use in conjunction with lemon Sicily.

We talking about FA? Or Capella's Italian lemon Sicily?

Sorry for not clarifying, FA lemon Sicily is what I'm talking about, haven't tried the other.

Well you've got a damn good recipe then! I mixed it last week, let it steep and just started vaping today. I've gone through two tanks (8ml ish) in 6 hours. Thanks for the tip I'll probably be mixing up a new batch tonight.

Vape it fresh! You can shake and vape this, or give it up to two days.

The fruit flavors quickly lose potency. I just found a bottle of this I lost after a month. Zero sourness. Just a real sweet pink lemonade.

With that said, you may want to try it fresh before increasing anything. Then go from there.

And don't thank me. Thank Lorann for making hands down the best lemonade flavor in the market. It was common sense after that.

Interesting recipe, I want to make it but don't have LorAnne's Lemonade. Do you think it would be possible with Lemon Sicily?

You can substitute it, but it won't be the same.

Also keep in mind, it's going to be difficult to increase the sour flavor without drastically increasing throat hit

I will say this since I have a Pink Lemonade flavor that will roll out in a month or two. The Pink Lemonade we all think of is sweet. And usually VERY sweet. It sucks, but you will need Sweetener to achieve that almost sticky sweetness. Also, the 1% of FA Lemon Sicily is perfect. I remember when my mix didn't have it. Play around with small amounts of Sour as well, but only small amounts. I am curious about Tart. I have thought about using Tart a lot.

A bit of citric acid or tartaric acid may help.

By a bit, I mean A TINY TINY SMALL BIT.

What are your thoughts on LA lemonade?

There was a list of LA flavors going around on ecf that listed it as unsafe due to it being non-soluble in water. However, LA website clearly lists it as water soluble, and I didn't see anything in the ingredient list that struck me as worse than anything else I'm vaping.

I believe Lemonade is listed as safe on that list, that same list says that Banana Cream is not completely safe and that's still pretty popular.

I can't recall trying it. WTF are they concerned about? Lemon oil?

That would be my guess.
