Does anybody have the link to FA's and Capella's MSDS, I've tried google and this subreddit, and haven't really found much about either, other than "what's the weight of flavor x"
I found Capella's but it doesn't have the list of aroma molecules, and I'm using the lists to avoid butyric acid like the black plague. Any tips in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Capella's won't release that information -- email them direct to inquire about a particular flavor and a particular volatile. FA won't release the information, either.
Note that MSDS don't list the CAS recipes -- that's GC/MS.
Flavor is an opaque business model. If they disclosed their recipes, other vendors would save millions copying them easily.
That makes a lot of sense, guess my thinking stopped at "i can't find it" (and not knowing that it was GC/MS), thank you for your help!
Yep, and it will continue to be this way for the time being.
I'm thinking the future of vaping will be companies that disclose 100% of their CAS recipe lists with exact percentages, but NONE of the eliquid compounders I talked to will release their CAS sheets even to the vape companies that use them to create eliquid flavors.
if one of the large flavor companies stepped and released that information, do you think it would be a driving force in consumer/producer transparency or a fatal move that causes them to be replicated time and time again, taking anything that was special about company X away?
