I got a fresh supply of some concentrates and i am noticing the older 30 ml bottles i had are darker in color and the fresh ones i got now are almost clear, FW hazelnut ( old 30 ml bottle) is light amber where as the fresh one i got from FW is clear, same goes for Flavor arts Almond, the 30 ml bottle i had from ecx ( 4-5 months old) is amber in color and the fresh one i got from Nicotine river is transparent
Some definitely do. I had some FW yellow cake that sat around for years before I figured out how to use it and it was a dark brown color. Surprisingly, it had little effect on the taste when I compared it to a fresh bottle.
thanks beastacles,Kirk, i have a habit of ordering everything in bulk and things dont get used that much, I saw the same thing with tfa banana cream, tho haven't found much difference in taste and potency, once got a year old batch of rocky road from FW and when they resent a fresh one there wasn't much difference so i guess these flavors do last a long time..so in your experience if flavors sit for a long time do they just loose potency or do they turn bad?
Yes. It's totally normal, but not every extract reacts well with age. I had a 30ml of fw whiped cream go from a very light yellow/ clear to a dark gold color over a month and tasted like sour milk. I would say be weary of older milk/diary flavors. Others will get dark but not effect the flavor much if at all
