Would a low percentage of custard (0.5-1-5%) bring a bit of creamy mouthfeel while only adding little flavor?

Until I figure out at what percentage my colnel custard works well for me I was wondering if it could be used for this purpose in my other juice. Couldnt really find anything on the topic while searching and before I waste the little flavorings and base I have I wanted to check if it would work, as it could round my current juice.

EDIT: mouthfeel might be the wrong word, but the custard flavor came a bit later than the other flavors but in my recent test the flavor of the custard was too dominant, so i was hoping a low percentage could leave a vague cream taste as the end of the flavor

by abdadaover 9 years agoI will rip you a new one if you don't use the sidebar & search.

1.5% may not be enough. That eliquid is probably 10-20% flavor by weight so 1.5% means mixing those volatiles at 0.3% by weight en toto -- which is probably too low to notice.

It doesn't hurt to try though! I've used Velvet Cloud's Vanilla Custard at 5% in some blends while I was working on my own vanilla custard PG-free.

Well my current flavor in it is at 9% overall (its a fruity mix with a hint of mint/menthol) so I didnt want to go too high. I mixed in my 10% trial juice of the custard in so it came out to 2-3%, and while the orignal flavor was lower due to being thinned out a bit the flavor of the custard was too strong. or maybe it was too little? the rec.% of the custard is ~15%, so higher levels might get rid of the weird taste it has when vaped (as its good when smelled and tasted in liquid form), which is what im planning on testing with the custard as the main flavor.

I guess if I steal 2x 5ml from my current juice and add 0.25/0.5ml of the custard flavoring it wouldnt waste much and could try it out

I would make 3 batches at 1.5%, 3% and 4.5% of the premix blended in and try right away (shake and vape) and after 2 weeks.

Are you mixing fruit, Custard and menthol in one juice?

There's a great video by DIY OR DIE on YouTube all about creams that covers this. Check it out because I can't remember which one it is, but I'm pretty sure there's a cream that does exactly this.

Edit: I just skimmed the video again. FA marshmallow will add the body without too much flavor. FA Vienna cream will add flavor without too much body.
