Inconsistent Nicotine Levels
submitted over 9 years ago by garrettttt

I'm using nicotine from nicotine river and sometimes my juice will be so harsh it's unvapeable and other times it will feel almost like there's none in it at all, I'm using 100mg/ml pg nic so I figured it could be hotspotting but I thought pg nice didn't have that problem, any ideas?

Buy a nic test kit for like $10 and find out if its really 100mg. Mistakes from the vendor have been known to happen in the past...if thats not it then shake it better after mixing ,make sure to shake the shit out of the nic before mixing, make sure your scales calibrated, stop mixing with pipettes if you are.....my suggestions

Just curious, what do pipettes have to do with it?

Some people take the graduations on their pipettes as gospel.

It's lab equipment. If anything it's human error which causes the inconsistencies.

Nothing wrong if you use them to suck up the concentrate, then put that into a bottle on your scale. Unless its a digital pipette, reading the mls out of one is far from extremely accurate IMO and as stated below.

I had the same issue, but it was solved by shaking the nicotine bottle, while minding the flavors I use as some are known to be rough on the throat.

Are you having inconsistent nicotine from each bottle your purchasing or each mix your making from the same bottle?

Hmm I sure hope their nic is consistent. I purchased 500ml of 200mg NIC and separated it into 16ish 30ml bottles and keep them in the freezer. I used to use VG based from ecx but after terrible quality garbage I decided nic river would be better, I opted with PG based so it'd be easier to shake and haven't had any bad experiences yet with any of mine and I've gone through 120ml
