I just mixed up my first bottle of juice today with my new scale. Everything went smooth but dealing with the VG was a pain. The bottle of vg I have doesn't have a dripper. I ended up just using a syringe. Are there any recommended bottles for VG suited to mixing by weight?
I use these from Walmart. They're like a buck each.
What section of Walmart do you find em?
I got the same bottle in the kitchen tools section, was near the disposable/picnic items (think wooden skewers and throw away aluminum cookware); since I'm 'lucky' enough to have two Walmarts within 10 minutes of me, I've also seen one with them in more with the pizza cutters and other gadgets - still in the kitchen section though.
On a side note, I use the same type of bottles for PG, but went with the candy making kind cause the tip was smaller, making it easier to deal with the lower viscosity.
Make sure not to get the flimsy 4oz or 6oz ones from the candy making section. Ask my scale how well those lids hold.
Protip: They're fucking awful. As I was dispensing VG, the top popped off and drenched the scale, the desk, the floor.... ruined the batch.
Found myself in the same situation when i moved to mixing by weight. Everything was way easier but VG was a total pain. I got these 16oz bottles from Liquid Barn (only cause I was also buying nicotine from them). Others have suggested good bottles as well. Just need something that holds a lot with a big opening - I prefer these 16oz so I don't have to refill as often, and I can twist to control the flow easier with PG.
Something like this. You can cut the tip of the bottle you designate for VG so that it dispenses a bit quicker.
Especially when I'm mixing larger volumes, I usually just use a graduated cylinder and measure the VG by volume initially, and then verify it on the scale...its usually "close enough", but I can always add or remove a little if absolutely necessary before weighing out the rest of my ingredients.
I use these bottles. pretty cheap but if you're only ordering a couple shipping is kinda high.
You have to get the cap twisted in just the right position for them to be sealed properly, but they seal well when you get it in the right spot and it works well for dispensing vg and pg.

I use a separate pyrex beaker to pour the VG into the mix. Then I just pour the leftover VG back into the VG bottle. If you use a beaker, make sure to keep the VG covered if you aren't going to use it again for a while. I use aluminum foil. This will prevent the VG from absorbing the water in the air.
