It isn't necessary but do understand that ALL flavorings have a shelf life and it doesn't make sense to buy more than you can use in a short period of time if possible.
Yes, some people keep flavoring for years in a cupboard and are fine with it, but some people aren't sensitive to flavor changes.
The only person that can judge what you should do is you -- and your palate. If you notice flavor changes easily, then store it in a fridge (or a styrofoam cooler even). If you don't notice flavor changes, don't sweat it.
If you want to dig into it, there's a TON on how storage affects flavor volatiles (in fresh fruit, in consumer goods, in concentrates, etc). An interesting one is this piece on brewed coffee and temperature of storage.
Again, I just learned something that I didn't know before, thank you. I think a good amount of the people hating on you have no idea how much valuable information you have shared. I can only imagine what you know that you haven't shared. I spent about 4 hours (again) reading through your history last night. Lots of the info you share is gibberish to me. I'll read it and have no clue what you're talking about because it's just way too advanced. Lots of it is clear and simple to understand as well, of course. I just mean that when it comes to the advanced stuff, you're on another level.
Just wanted to let you know that I did it. My very first order is on the way. My first order cost me 160 Canadian Eh dollars. If my calculations are correct and my copy cat clone recipes go smooth, then I'll be saving a little over $500.00. Worst case scenario would be me fucking up every millimetre of my order, which would still be a positive experience. $160.00 for a lesson learned, whether good or bad, is pretty cheap in my opinion. I'm not a smart person, it took me many many hours here before I could get a decent grasp on what I have to do here to get it right and be comfortable enough to make this order. You're a valuable person and a huge asset to me. I'll always show my support to you publicly, I always stand behind what I believe in.

I've dealt with this since I was a kid all my life because I purposely go out of my way to polarize. I've rewritten comments 10 times before posting it because the original wasn't polarizing enough, lol.

In time, it will all come out, I just have to control who I leak what to and let them repost as they want to. I don't want to control where information goes in the end, I want to control who I give it to. Once they have it it's out of my hands.

Understand that part of my writing style is actually to polarize the level of understanding. I sometimes will write simple on purpose, but I will sometimes overcomplicate things in order to get a certain percent of readers to actively go and Google WTF I am talking about. This generates interest in the market for that information, which helps me in the long run. On no less than 30 occasions last year did I write something on Reddit only to have someone Google it and find conflicting information and send it to me so I could hone my own information and opinions.
$160 isn't enough to hurt you forever. But it's a big enough risk that you might end up with some HUGE benefits.

It would be helpful if you could provide a list of flavors that are best kept in the fridge, like dragonfruit. I found something you posted earlier in another thread to be informative and it seems your the right man for the job. Perhaps an addition to the sidebar?
It's a tough position for me since I'm not well received on this subreddit overall. I left the sub last year (hate quit actually) and only came back because a lot of people kinda begged me to. Now I am less able to share what I've discovered because the community has shown what they think of me (through downvoting and generalized trolling).
As long as that continues, I'm not at liberty to release the data for the time being. All I will do is confirm or deny a question with specifics, but my vast arsenal of research I paid a lot of money to secure has to stay private.
In the future I'll likely throw it all on a website and give people access on a person-by-person basis. Not to control the data, but to prevent the idiots from accessing it.
I don't understand why you're not received well on this sub. You are doing the kind of research I wish I could be doing, and you're providing knowledge that I haven't found elsewhere. It's sad that people are overlooking such a fantastic resource :/
