I just had some awesome pancakes
submitted over 9 years ago by deckartcain

SO I'm pretty baked and got an urge for pancakes while mixing. Flash forward 30 minutes and I've just eaten a stack of delicious strawberry pancakes. I just added 15 drops of Strawberry (Ripe) to a small batch(3 small pancakes, 150ml-ish) and it was surprisingly good. Not as flavorful as I expected, but it probably needs adjusting.

I've also had success with adding stuff to my soda. 4 drops of Lemon Sicily(FA) in a can of Pepsi Max tastes awesome, a lot like regular lemon cola products.

Anyone with some neat recipes outside of juices?

I feel like you just stole this answer from u/abdada. Seems like exactly what he would have said to this.

You just gave me a way to use my 30ml of cinnamon that has barely been touched!

I use TFA Brown Sugar in my Stevia Blend when i make green tea, i think i may actually add some caramel to it as well... gives my tea a nice round flavor

Tfa black cherry in Pepsi max tastes just like the real thing. Hazelnut/vanillas in coffees are nice too.

Roughly how much do you put in say a 12oz can?

I put 5 drops in a glass and pour the can in to mix it. Guessing that 12oz = 375ml?

Sweet, thanks.

Dunno haha, I've got 355mL cans, I think that's 12oz.

It's awesome when you realize that you basically have hundreds of dollars worth of food flavorings, gonna have to play around with it a bit.

One of my current hobbies is using oak barrels to age liquor. My first try was using the bourbon essence bottles you just dump in with vodka or grain alcohol. It's awful. So I am trying to make it more palatable by adding some flavors to it. So far I've added TFA brown sugar, TFA caramel and got it almost tasting decent. I'm thinking once I get to a baseline palatable I want to try adding peach or other flavors to make a flavored "bourbon". If I have any success I'll post something about it. Definitely a work in progress right now.

Are you distilling your own or using vodka at the moment?

I did a bit of distilling (legal here) a while back. Still have a few jars of corn liquor aging on some oak somewhere.

Not distilling my own.

4 fluid ounces Jim beam

12 fluid ounces coca cola

3 drops cap French vanilla

Edit: I'm working on adding fa almond or tfa toasted almond into this but it might need some fa marshmallow to lighten up how dry those almond flavors make drinks feel. Mix and review.

Shiiiiiit I bet that French vanilla would be dank as hell with spiced rum and root beer

Just did

4 fluid ounces vodka

6 drops la lemonade

2 drops tfa sweetener

1 drop cap French vanilla

2 chamomile tea bags

10 fluid ounces water

Not bad. Maybe honey next time instead of vanilla. I like vanilla and chamomile but with the lemonade it's just a little too sweet on the back end. The sweetener helps with the lemonade. Maybe citric acid to up the punch.

Just let it steep and I'll say that maybe 1 drop sweetener and 1 drop ethyl maltol would be best. Vanilla blended well once those tea bags opened up.

Have you found anything else that goes well in Pepsi Max? I drink that shit like it's going out of fashion.

FA Lime Tahity Cold Pressed was awesome with Coke, but I'd rather buy a lime fruit from grocery store since it's cheaper.

I used some FA orange that I wasn't going to use for juices (can't get it to cooperate), so I added some to a batch of orange chicken my girlfriend was making, but was just a little shy on orange marmalade. A quick little squirt imparted a fuckload of extra orange flavor. It was great.
