European AWS LB-501 adapter?
submitted over 9 years ago by deckartcain

Hi guys. I really majorly screwed up on this one. Ordered a AWS LB-501 scale per recommendation from you wonderful people, but I obviously forgot an adapter for the thing.

I live in Denmark, and we use different plugs than UK/US ones(230v, rounded prongs) listed as DEMKO 107-2-D1

This is probably not the best place to ask, but I'm hoping that someone else have solved this one before. I tried searching and only found UK related topics, and I believe they use 240v like the US, so yeah.

Did it come with the US wall power adapter? If so, you only need a plug adapter like this. The beauty of those wall power adapters is that they can handle input voltages from 100v to 240v. The only thing you need is a plug-adapter to be able to physically plug it in.

It did include the US wall power adapter, was pretty mad at myself when I first saw it.

That's awesome news, thanks a lot for the help :) I found a local one at under 10$, so I'm gonna be mixing very slowly, very fast. Thanks!

No problem.

Just to be 100% sure, though, check the back of the power adapter. It should say something like this:

Input: AC 100-240V 50/60Hz

Output: DC 6V / 1000mA

I had the same problem (I'm in New Zealand).

I just put the AAs in, and have been using it for a year or so on the same set. It shuts off automatically but the time delay is long enough that it's never been a problem.

I've just imported one of these from the US as amazon.co.uk sellers were asking £60/70. Got it for £30 inc postage but got stung for £12 vat/fees. Still saved money but fees over 50% of value drive me mad! And oh yeah also need a plug adapter. Will check out Pound World on the way home.
