We all know that some flavors contain essential oils, such as FW Blood Orange and FW Ecto Cooler, but has anyone found a way to better emulsify the essential oils in these concentrates? I ask because 1) this week's flavor is Orange, and 2) I feel really bad about my friend having a bad time with Ecto Cooler. He was stoked to see an Ecto Cooler concentrate, even though I warned him that it would separate and be pretty harsh (based on my past experience with Yaeliq Ecto Cooler, which I believe uses the FW concentrate). However, the results even at 2% concentration were astounding. At 3mg, I could hardly vape it. It felt like at least a 9mg, maybe 12mg. I mixed a batch right after we bottled his, with the same weight of nic solution (it was thoroughly shaken before making each bottle, and hasn't had the slightest harshness to it before). After adding EM to the mix, the harshness of the citrus remained victorious.

But on a different note, is there any way to better emulsify these citrus oils in the juice? I was thinking a few drops of vodka/everclear would possibly help increase solubility of the oils, but have not yet had an opportunity to test. Have any of you had any luck (aside from constantly shaking the bottle) keeping the oils from separating quickly or giving your mixer a hard time?

emulsifiers are a touchy subject. Most are not GRAS for inhalation - AKA tween's and span's. Really disgusted to see these in use in the CBD industry and definitely not safe for inhalation. Your macrophages have a really difficult time cleaning these compounds off of the surface of the alveoli in your lungs.

Now there are dispersants. Not all are unsafe to inhale. Sodium phosphate and a few others have been used to help with minor dissolutions but if it is insoluble in VG, it most often falls into the category of not so great to be inhaling.

Don't most oil flavors dissolve into EtOH? Couldn't he add some PGA to his mix to get the flavors into solution?

If your friend wants ecto cooler, just do FA Lime Tahiti @ 2% with 1% Ethyl Maltol(10%) and 2% Sucralose(TFA Sweetener- 1% if using CAP Super Sweet)

The ecto juices I've tried taste just like lime Tahiti.

I'm referencing the actual drink. It was a favorite of mine when I was a youngster. I'm not sure whether that I'm fortunate that I got to experience it first hand, though. The younger generation has never heard of it, and the older generation was already out of the target demographic, thus few experienced it.
