INAWERA is pronounced INAVERA

I watch mixing videos, listen to some podcasts (shout out to u/ENYAWREKLAW and his co-hosts form DIY or DIE).

So.... I'm Polish, the company is Polish and I hear everyone pronouncing INAWERA incorrectly. They flavourings are popular enough to grant them that level of respect, I guess...

Might seem like a rant but it's not. Really...

I've been looking in to the Cherimoya and am picking up a bottle this weekend. Had a ripe Cherimoya over the weekend. Flavor reminded me of a mix between banana, pineapple, coconut, and papaya, so I'm sure it will blend very well with tropical mixes. It was a little acidic. Texture was not quite as creamy as I was hoping it would be but it was still decadent, I would describe the texture as a mix between a banana and a melon.

Nice. I haven't heard much about it, but I'm hoping it can be used to add something really interesting in fruit mixes. I picked it up the other day, and it should be in my mailbox today. I'll mess around with it when I get home. /u/johnlacuenta also has it, so I'm looking forward to seeing what we all think about it.

I'm getting sort of a pineapple/banana/weird tropical note with a tiny bit of custard (similar to FA Custard). Not super impressed with it right now, but I've only done 3% standalone. I've seen it needs a higher percentage, so we'll see.

Let's also clear up the correct pronunciation of diacetyl. It's "die-uh-SEE-til". Not "die-ASS-it-all."

I know how to pronounce acetyl correctly, but for some reason failed to make the connection with diacetyl when I first started mixing, so I "learned it wrong". I still have to mentally correct myself from time to time.

I always knew it!

I'm not sure how, but I knew they were foreign and just looking at the spelling and trying to think of the pronunciation, Inavera sounded so much more correct to me innately.

Myself speaking Finnish, I probably butcher the pronounciation all the time, it's something like E-nuh-veh-ruh. It's usually abbreviated to "Ina", pronounced E-nuh.

No, you're exactly right. As much as what I see does not compute in my little Polish mind, E-nuh-veh-ruh is how we pronounce it. Although to me it's simply Inawera.
