TFA only Recipes! The update we've all been waiting for.
submitted over 9 years ago by skiddlzninja

This thread is for TFA only recipes. Please post recipes in the accepted format, i.e. :

* percentage flavor

* percentage flavor

* as many flavors as you need.

Please no volume submissions, since percentage by volume is the accepted standard. There is no need to annotate the manufacturer since the recipes need to be TFA only. Thank you for any and all submissions.

Is there anyone who has improved upon this recipe? It's too much VBIC for me but I know of several "premium" juices that use VBIC and strawberry that I enjoy.

I like to cut down VBIC a bit, add some raspberry and koolada.

You think CAP Vanilla bean ice cream would be about the same? Better maybe?

1 points

by HocusKrokusover 9 years agoMixologist

It'd be close, but not exactly the same. I personally find that CAP feels a bit stronger, so maybe drop 1% and go from there.

TFA vanilla swirl would be way closer if you have this

You think if I substituted the regular strawberry for strawberry ripe and the TFA VBIC for Flavor West's version it would still be good?

1 points

by cpmerrillabout 9 years ago

I've never tried FW's version but I wouldn't recommend subbing in strawberry ripe. I tried it and it tasted pretty bad and earthy alone but half ripe and regular works too

1 points

by JJGraham36about 9 years ago

Well I tried it and it's actually not terrible. Only problem with it so far is that the strawberry is a bit overpowering. Probably gonna pick up some regular strawberry and go from there to see if the combo works good. Thanks though! Also, I would recommend fw VBIC if you like a slightly more sugary ice cream.

Ohhh, I get to contribute a couple of favorites! My Slimy Man Yogurt is all TPA! So is my DX remix of Fizz's 'nana cream:

Slimy Man Yogurt

 • Cotton Candy - 0.2%
 • Dragon Fruit - 0.2%
 • Strawberry (Ripe) - 6%
 • Strawberry - 1%
 • Sweet Cream - 4%
 • Vanilla Swirl - 3%

'nana Cream DX

 • Banana Cream DX - 5%
 • Dragon Fruit - 3%
 • Strawberry - 7%
1 points

by goldfish18over 9 years ago

0.1%? That's about half a drop per 15mL. At that point is it even necessary?

3 points

by Discchordover 9 years agoConfirmed Kills: XXX

Ack... No, that's my inaccurate shorthand for 1 drop per 10mL. The correct % is closer to .2%. I'll fix that, thanks for pointing it out.

1 points

by TheSwexicanover 9 years agoFrugivore

Do you think nana cream would be okay if I replaced dragon fruit with pomegranate at the same percentage?

2 points

by Discchordover 9 years agoConfirmed Kills: XXX

You can certainly try... But the use of Dragonfruit with Strawberry is more of an application of chemistry than balancing for taste. There is something in that Dragonfruit that makes all berries pop! This is true for all recipes using TPA Strawberry. I haven't used pomegranate, so I'm unsure of how it will play out. It is certainly worth a try though! You may discover some new amazing flavor combination. Maybe it emphasizes the banana?

2 points

by TheSwexicanover 9 years agoFrugivore

Just tried it, at 1% it seems to act as a sweeter almost; brings out both flavors a bit. Anything above 1% and the pom just kinda masks everything.

2 points

by Botboy141over 9 years agoGunner's Gold Gourmet E-Juice

It will greatly alter the flavor profile but is still yummy. I have a Banana Cream/Pomegranate recipe that's popular in certain circles. Seems to be one of those love/hate mixes though. Here's the recipe (not quite as simple):

 • 5.5% Banana Cream
 • 7% Pomegranate
 • 2.5% Blueberry Extra
 • 2.25% Pomegranate Extra
 • 2% Cotton Candy
 • 1% Citric Acid (10%)

You can omit the Cotton Candy and Citric Acid and play with to your liking.

I'm not sure about with TFA's banana cream, but for most of my one-off fruit mixes, I use the original /u/Fizzmustard 'nana cream base, minus the dragonfruit. It's a great base to build other fruits onto. Add some TFA Apricot to really get an amazing fruit base, like in my Revised 'Nana Cream Clone.

Does the yogurt recipe have a coconut thing going on in the background? Whenever I've used sweet cream at higher than 1% it starts tasting like coconut.

Nope, I tried that first and kept the same percentage in the DX version. The flavor was pretty much identical. There's something in that regular version though that totally destroys my sinuses.

1 points

So does that mean that 12.4% of your ejuice is flavoring? I'm a newby so I'm learning how to mix.

That's correct. Anything below 15% is fairly low for a TPA/TFA recipe.

Nice! Yeah it's good with regular Banana Cream, but for some reason that version makes my sinuses go into purge mode. The DX version doesn't really bother them, but that regular makes it impossible to vape with a runny nose.

I made this as a cream base or soft serve ice cream sundae base (with Koolada added at your desired levels) so add in whatever toppings/fruit/mix ins strike your fancy. I like to vape it as is as well. I call it:

Yet Another Sunday

 • Bavarian Cream 3%
 • EM 1%
 • Marshmallow 1.5%

 • Koolada to taste (I like 3 or 4 drops per 15ml) if an ice cream base is your goal

Just shaked and vaped this not bad, will let it steep for a few days. First time using koolada next time will use 1-2 drops per 15ml. Waiting for my blueberry by FW to come in to add might also try adding some kind of yogurt to it. thanks!

1 points

by [deleted]over 9 years ago

Glad you approve :) I'm actually waiting for my newest BCV order to come in so I can try FW Blueberry in it as well. I'm sure strawberries would be a good add in too but I've not tried it as I have strawberry blindness, all strawberries by any vendor just makes the whole mix taste harsh to me. Koolada is tricky, when I found my happy spot (3-4 drops per 15ml) I just stuck with that amount for all recipes that use it.

Can CAP VC be subbed at 1:1 or is there a nuance with TPA's that makes it necessary

1 points

by Xexistover 9 years ago

hey TWO, what kinda steep required on this? I mixed it (subbed in Vienna cream for sweet cream, because when I ordered it they were out of stock), It was ok but not great, wondering if the most likely culprit is lack of steep time, or just bad flavor substitution.

2 points

by ThirdWorldOrderover 9 years ago

You definitely need TFA Sweet Cream, as Vienna cream isn't anything like it. Also, 3% Vienna cream is too high to begin with.

Steep time is a week

The Professor

 • Banana nut bread (TFA) - 7%

 • Cinnamon Churro (TFA) 2%

 • French Vanilla (TFA) - 1%

 • Sugar Cookie (TFA) - 3%

 • Sweetener (TFA) - .5%

 • Vanillin (TFA) - 2%

This flavor was intended to be a Banana Nut Bread, not overly loaded with banana, but enough to get the sweet and full flavor on the inhale, and the exhale tasting like the bread flavor that the dish left behind. Banana Nut Bread was a good starter flavor, but was too simple in flavor; it had banana, but it wasn't overbearing, and came already with a cinnamon undertone and a very slight sweet taste. Almost lacking the entire bread concept. The Cinnamon Churro had a dry, grainy taste, lacking in sweetener (causing the recipe to need sweetening at the end), but it ended up complimenting the cinnamon in the Banana Nut Bread flavoring.

Now, with the two ingredients, I had a dry banana grain taste with an exhale of pure cinnamon...It was too harsh. I threw in French Vanilla to take the edge off of the cinnamon and it worked, but ended up masking part of the grain taste. After a couple tests, Sugar Cookie helped kick in the bread flavor, and added a sweet smell to the vapor cloud. I preferred my vape to also taste sweet, so after adding a tiny bit of Sweetener, it really helped kick it up. Lastly, the Vanillin added a thick mouthfeel to the mix, without overpowering the Cinnamon. This was a solid ADV during that winter.

The Charlie

 • Honeydew (TFA) - 4%

 • Swedish Gummy (TFA) - 6%

 • Sweetener (TFA) - 1%

TFA's Swedish Gummy is really a one of a kind; I get specifically the candy flavor without it being overly sweet, and the gummy candy aftertaste that has melded very well with any fruit that I've paired it with (so far). Mixing it alone works well for a simple vape, but adding a bright, tangy flavor helped add a body to the sweet candy. The one note that I took from this is that by itself, the Honeydew was a bit too citric, and a few customers noted that the Honeydew was rather tart. If I use Sweetener, I try to keep it at .5% or less, but raising the percentage helped smooth out the tart note and bring the honeydew down a small amount to a more realistic flavor.

The Stark

 • Lychee (TFA) - 8%

 • Koolada (TFA) - .25%

 • Pear (TFA) - 2%

 • Sour(20%) (TFA) - .75%

Lychee, before getting into mixing, was a total curiosity to me. Since making and discontinuing the Stark, I've tried multiple Lychee flavors that all have different profiles, so my palate is not going to be your compass on this berry. However, from standalone at 6%, it had a bright, fleshy taste and an eccentric sweet aftertaste unlike most other Western fruits. To help round out the sweet, I took Pear, an earthy, thick pear flavor at a low percent. Even down at a 1% test, the earthiness really took down the high note of the Lychee, and adding TFA's Sour(20%) helped neutralize the earthiness and let the Lychee dominate, albeit at a lower level than originally. Lastly, and this is totally to preference, I used Koolada to give it a cool feeling. The Koolada was awesome at builds above .3 ohms, but lower and it ended up becoming a bit too cold to really taste.

Is that Unicorn Puke?

2 points

by VapeQueen214over 9 years ago

No I personally despised Unicorn Puke from Lost art, it tasted very soapy IMO. This was just a simple fruity flavor I made when I first started vaping. But FW Rainbow Sherbet an Unicorn vomit are pretty sold flavors that kinda sorta remind me of UP if you're looking for something along those lines.

1 points

by Binsky89about 9 years ago

I am just starting out in DIY, but I absolutely love your Unicron flavor. The inhale of strawberry with the exhale of biting into a ripe peach is amazing. Somehow the hibiscus ties it all together without presenting itself. It's possibly one of the best fruit blends I've ever had (time will tell when I finally stop using oxidized nicotine [long story])

I'm liking the Monster Melon too, but I'm considering dialing the papaya back a bit and increasing the cantaloupe.

Your Hawaiian Punch will be next, but I need to make it in volumes over 15ml (which means ordering more glass) because of some of your percentages (can't do 0.25% for 15ml) are pretty small.

Do you have any other TFA fruit blends? I have a bunch of flavors, but my palate isn't quite refined enough to truly get into developing flavors.

2 points

by VapeQueen214about 9 years ago

I'm glad you like it! Its still one of my favorite lazy mixes because its so simple but I can vape it all day without getting bored of it. Papaya is a really strong flavor, some people vape it as high as 5% but to me its best at .25-.5%. If you have Ca Golden Pineapple or TFA juicy pineapple ( I really like their new pineapple better actually) you could sub those in at .5 or 1%. TFA's regular pineapple flavor is just very very potent. I've got a few more recipes I can throw your way since you caught me on a slow day!

Tiger's blood

10% Watermelon TFA
6% Strawberry TFA
1% Coconut Candy TFA (Flavour art and Flavorah are better

3% Pomegranate Deluxe TFA
1% Blackberry TFA

Mango Rainbow

8% Mango TFA
4% Watermelon TFA
3% Strawberry TFA
1% Key lime

Beach Bum

5% Cantaloupe TFA
2% Juicy Pineapple TFA
5% Mango TFA or Capella's

Peaches&G

6% Juicy Peach TFA
3% Guava

Honey Pear

2% Pear TFA
4% Strawberry TFA

Here's another recipe. This is inspired by the Nanners clone sans the tobacco. It's not bad, but definitely needs a good steep.

Yonkers

 • Peanut Butter - 3%
 • Hazelnut - 2%
 • Banana Nut Bread - 5%
 • Banana Cream - 3%
 • Banana Foster - 1%
 • Coconut Extra - 0.3%
 • Smooth - 0.3%
 • Koolada - 0.3%
 • Menthol - 1%

The Hazelnut + Peanut Butter combos adds to the nuttiness and underlying creaminess. The banana components and coconut extra are merely adapted from the Nanners clone. And of course, to replicate Nanners, I have included the cooling agents.

I have a recipe that just might be worthy enough for you diy wizards... After placing a huge order on a variety of TFA fruit flavors I started by smelling caps next to one another to get an essense of how the flavor frofile might taste, then tested the flavors in 5 ml batches. I found a few of my favorite mixes within hours. The following was one of my first favorite recipes, which has been tweaked since.

70/30 VG/PG 12% Total flavor

●4% TFA Mango

●2.5% TFA Key Lime

●3% TFA Gummy Candy (W/ Triacetin)

Have you tried doing 5% Watermelon and 5% Watermelon sweet? I have been messing with a menthol watermelon trying to clone Moon Mountain 's Vapor Trail which is a menthol watermelon that has a very awesome candied watermelon flavor.

1 points

by helloiamyourpeepawover 9 years agoProud Sidebar Reader!

Never had watermelon sweet. TFA Watermelon and Watermelon candy are interchangeable with very little taste difference.

Also never had that juice, but for candied watermelon Lorann's watermelon is a jolly rancher type flavoring. I used to buy a juice called Vadermelon which now I realize was probably just 15% Lorann's watermelon + sweetener. Highly recommended flavoring. In my Obama's Mouthwash watermelon menthol recipe I use a combination of LOR and TFA watermelon, but the addition of cactus removes the candy aspect.

Maybe cut the sweetener down to 2% or even 1%. Also, I'd try replacing it with 1% TFA Cotton Candy or Ethyl Maltol(10% solution). Sweetener is sucralose; stevia sweetener, and that gives more of a juicy mouthfeel IMO. Ethyl Maltol gives a dry, chalky feeling of sweetness that would probably work well.

Can ripe strawberry be a substitute for unicorn milk or does it have to be original strawberry.

I've actually never had Nana Cream. I saw a few clone recipes and decided to try one of them out. After that I tweaked it a bit to my liking. So if you are looking for a Nana Cream clone, this isn't it.

"Not the clone you're looking for"

Ingredient|% :---|---: Banana Cream |7 Dragonfruit |5 Strawberry(ripe) |3

I mix this 70/30 - VG/PG @ 3mg nic strength. For you crazy cloud chasers, you could probably get away with 80/20 but the banana would likely end up tasting a bit muted.

Is it just like Bombies Nana Cream? Beats me. Does it taste good? Yup!

Turtle I

Ingredient|% :---|---: Bavarian Cream (TPA)| 6.0 Coconut Extra (TPA)| 1.0 Peach (juicy) (TPA)| 7.0 Marshmallow (TPA)| 1.0

Flavor total: 15.0% Shared from alltheflavors.com

This one is controversial, since I like Coconut Extra and some people don't. I feel the peach here is strong enough to hold up to it and turn it into what I call "like suntan lotion, but in a good way," and the bavarian cream mellows it all out.

Simple, but I go through phases where this one is my ADV for a week at a time.

FYI, TFA Pineapple works in this recipe, as I'm sure quite a few other flavors would as well. The percentage of the TFA Pineapple needs to be toned down a bit IMO as it tends to be a very strong flavor for you. I brought the TFA Bavarian Cream down a notch as well. If you are dripping this, it should be plenty of flavor. The end result is a nice creamy pina colada... Hopefully it will be enjoyed, and the recipe from /u/queuetue above is definitely a winner! You should mix it ASAP.

Cream'a'colada

It think it's as much the Bavarian Cream as the peach that's making Coconut Extra "like suntan lotion, but in a good way" for you. I started playing around with a Snake Oil clone that combines those two flavors and created something I like better than the original. Now I have half a dozen delicious recipes that follow a Fruit+More Fruit+7% Bavarian+1% Coconut Extra formula. I'm not big on Coconut Extra for other uses because of the suntan oil aspect, but a small amount of it makes sweet love to Bavarian Cream.

Now you made me remember where I got this base from .. and why this recipe is called turtle. I haven't posted a recipe in weeks, and the one I do, I stole. :)

3 % of Juicy Peach destroys any of my juices. The flavor is so damn strong I can't use it at all... How can you vape 7%???

1 points

by queuetueover 9 years agoAllTheFlavors Creator/Admin

Well, no flavor is vapeable by itself, and no percentage is valid in a vacuum. Would I recommend 7% as a standalone? Nope. But mixing is shotgun chemistry, not cooking - less can be more, and sometimes more can be less. This combination of flavors works for me and others that have tried it.

You'll notice the bavarian cream is pretty high, too. Both are placed to counteract the coconut extra, which really packs a punch and needs a lot of competition.

I found this recipe on here so you've probably see it but have you tried: Strawberry 6% Pear 5% Lime 2% Honeysuckle 2% I've been Vaping this in a tank and going back and forth between it and actual Placid. It's missing a slight something but it's almost indistinguishable.

1 points

by yaypuddingover 9 years ago

So I just got some new flavors today and have been dying to tweak this recipe as I thought this was really close as is. I added 1% FA Fuji and .5% INW Cactus Lime. The Fuji stemmed from /u/fatclownbaby and some other clone recipes I've seen on elr, gives it that accidity and tartness, while the cactus lime adds that juiciness and a bit more of a floral quality to the rind on the exhale. Thoughts?

2 points

by fatclownbabyover 9 years agoMixologist

Sounds good!

My better recipe uses inw pear, two apple and a few drops of lime.

I'll check out that cactus, seems like a good idea

2 points

by stuffinvapesover 9 years ago

I put in FA Fuji .5% as well. We probably saw the same thread lol. I also added some honeydew for the juiciness at .8% and reduced strawberry by 1% to 4% and added strawberry (ripe) 1%. That was really really good as well. I think I'm gonna keep making it like this. Really want to try inw cactus lime though, where did you get yours?

Malic acid can be used, I originally assumed TFA Sour was Citric. You can use malic, but it will be mellower compared to citric. Kiwi Double already provides a strong throathit.

Wow, I was out of town for a couple of weeks and didn't see this browsing on mobile. So I've got a couple I'll dump here. I suck at naming juices so you've probably seen these "witty" names before. All these are at 50/50 pg/vg

A Choc-work Orange - like those chocolate orange candy ball things around Christmas

 • Double Chocolate (Clear) 6%

 • Orange Cream 6.5%

 • Cotton Candy 1.0%

 • Marshmallow 2.0%

Dr Pooper A Dr Pepper flavor!

 • Dr. Pop 12%

 • Caramel 4%

Watergate This one is a swing (and mostly a miss) at that weird green pistachio fruit salad thing. While it missed the mark, it's still tasty to me.

 • Pistachio 8%

 • Vanilla Swirl 4%

 • Pineapple 2%

 • Marshmallow 3%

Blueberry Waffle Here's where I stopped trying to make up names. This one was inspired by a strawberry version of this (that I lost my recipe for, a complete 100% homegrown flavor inspired by this belgian waffle place I ate at a few times in Vancouver last year. A waffle with cream cheese ice cream, whipped cream and strawberry sauce. So good. I have maybe 2 ml left of it and I'm pissed I lost my recipe. The lesson here is ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR DATA)

 • Blueberry extra 5%

 • Waffle (Belgian) 5%

 • Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 2%

 • Marshmallow 1%

 • Cheesecake (Graham) 3%

Berry Chiller Berry blend with koolada

 • Blackberry 3%

 • Blue Raspberry 6%

 • Cotton Candy 2%

 • Meringue 2%

 • Koolada 1%

Dulce de Leche If I had bourbon flavoring it would have gone in here. It's just a sweet rich caramel type flavor. I like bourbon caramel sauces.

 • Caramel 5%

 • Sweet Cream 3%

 • Bavarian Cream 3%

 • Vanilla Swirl 3%

feel free to try and improve, etc!

How is that TFA Dr Pop? Is it even remotely close to Dr pepper?

1 points

by vibraslapchopover 9 years agoProud Sidebar Reader!

On it's own, it smells just like Dr Pepper. Tastes like a flat sugarless Dr Pepper, so it needed a lot of help. The Cola Cherry helps round out the flavor a bit...on it's own the Dr. Pop lacks...something. Almost like a store knockoff Dr Pepper.

I have to thank you very much for Blueberry Waffle. I had to reduce the Belgian Waffle by 1% and it tastes almost exactly like the Blu B Pie from Cake and Bake that i absolutely love. I also didnt have the Vanilla Bean Ice Cream so i subbed in Vanilla Bean Gelato which did a pretty good job. (ok 1% less waffle made a big difference. maybe i just need to let it sit longer as im too impatient)

Dude that's awesome! Love your idea about knocking down the waffle a bit. I like it the way it is but it's kind of fallen out of my rotation...it's a bit heavy on the waffle and it kinda blunts things. I'll definitely try that out.

Cherry Cola
Ratio: 15PG/85VG or max VG
Steep Time: Shake-n-vape

 • Cola Syrup @ 9%
 • Black Cherry @ 3.5%
 • (Optional) Koolada @ .5%

This is a surprisingly simple, accurate, tasty vape. It was actually my very first iteration of my very first recipe. Tastes like Wild Cherry Pepsi. Nice wet throat hit, some fizziness, and full flavored vape both in tank & dripper. The optional Koolada is to add "ice" to the drink. You can bring it as high as 1% but I wouldn't recommend going over the 1%. This is a great ADV and probably the one I find myself vaping through the quickest, even after many months of mixing more complex recipes.

I have tried making a better version of it with little success. I tried adding both FA and TFA champagne for additional effervesence but they just kind of watered the flavor down. Also tried tweaking it with some FA cola for extra spiciness and didn't like the way it came out. If you like cherry cola vapes you probably don't need to look any further.

Honeydew Bubble Tea

 • Honeydew - 4%

 • DX Sweet Cream - 1.5%

 • DX Milk - 2%

 • Canteloupe - .5%

 • Malted Milk (Concentrated) - .25%

 • Sweet Tea - 1%

 • Green Tea - .1%

This was my first try on a melon type flavor, I figured prominent honeydew, but not too much obviously. Lots of creaminess was desired, so I was generous with the Milk, Sweet Cream, and a touch of Malt. Tea... I wanted a more pronounced tea flavor in this one, but the way this came out is quite crisp, refreshing, and full flavored without being perfume or tiresome.

Hope this can be a good base for people to experiment with this flavor, I am only getting started!
