I like to do this, I'll write out everything by hand. PG to VG ratio, the ml, the nicotine, the flavor percentages, etc. Idk why but its like a mini puzzle and its the only recreational math I'd do.
Sort of. I wrote my own e liquid calculator. :)
WHY DON'T YOU BRAG A LITTLE.
Oh. Wait. It's you. Nevermind. All hail.
That reminds me, I have to get better at plugging: Last Week of the All The Flavors Beta! https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/104694584242389910959
I keep all my recipes in notebooks; a notebook can't crash and delete everything.
But I do much more recreational meth than just when I'm mixing.
Yes Sir , i am still a "Day Timer" guy and hate electronic planners , don't even own a smart phone .
I don't get phone calls , ever , if my phone rings i know it's the wrong # . I like that type of freedom though , i like to be able to do whatever i want whenever i want .
I also MUCH prefer reviews that are NOT videos , i like text .
I'm mostly the same way with videos vs text. I can't stand watching a video on something that can easily be explained in text, people seem to think I'm crazy.
I was against smartphones for a long time, I got one in the last year only because it was actually cheaper than my old prepaid plan and I didn't have regular internet access at the time, but it does come in handy sometimes.
I used to write all my notes in a notebook but then I found Evernote and never looked back
I recommend a Pilot Metropolitan fine nib, and a nice Rhodia note pad.
Whenever I have recipe that I really really like, something that I vaped at least 500ml of, I'm not bored of it and I know I'd like to vape it in future I'll write it down in my tinny pocket size notepad, it's like quarter size of a4 sheet of paper, I vape everything at 70vg/30pg and 3mg nic so I'm not too concerned about doing any extra calculations and I simply write my recipes for 100ml batches. Easy to turn into 1l batches as well but if I require some fine tuning then I also keep my recipes on e-liquid-recipes.com
I hand write all of my recipes. I only use a calculator to figure my VG amount, as everything I make is MAX VG. I try to keep the common percentages of my frequently used flavors conversion to grams handy. Most of the time I will just calculate it to grams for every recipe.
When I started DIY, I had a composition notebook to record all of my recipe notes and maths. It was fun at first. The concentrations and unit conversions were fun to work through each time, the notes were fun etc. The fun wore off after a while though, probably because I had to maintain similar hand-written for my thesis work.
I use a spreadsheet for all of my recipes now and life is much easier. Would recommend.
