I just started making my own NET (Naturally Extracted Tobacco) and it is amazing. I don't think I will go back to fruity, sweet, chocolaty, etc.. flavors.
Right now I am extracting two of my favorite pipe tobaccos. One jar of 100% favorite pipe tobacco #1, One jar of 100% favorite pipe tobacco #2, One jar of a 50% fav #1 and 50% fav #2, and one 100% of a Romeo and Juliet "Romeo" cigar.
Each jar has only been extracting for about a week now, but so far the sampling has been amazing. Can't wait to taste them in two more weeks when they are "fully" extracted.
I am surprised this isn't a very large market. When I first started vaping, I was surprised by how many flavored juices there were, but not many kinds that tasted like tobacco, cigars, cigarrettes, and/or chew. Probelm = Solved?

Quick question u/TSP123, what volume do you get out of, say, 100g of leaf?
I have extracted a generic Cavendish and Captain Black pipe tobaccos, and an Acid Blonde cigar that I got from a local tobacco shop.
- in PG heated in a crock pot for 100 hours
- in PGA (Everclear) not heated, on the shelf for a month
- in PG and PGA heated
- in PG and PGA not heated
All resulted in a strong, tasty extract. After filtering, the PGA extract was the clearest, but the inevitable coil gunking is not problematic because I re-coil and re-wick frequently.
I have just ordered an ounce of Latakia, an ounce of Toasted Burley and a tin of Syrian Full Balkin from PipesAndCigars. I expect (perhaps unrealistically) to come up with something wonderful.
The Balkin and Smoked Latakia (as well as many other) e-liquids offered at naturally-extracted-tobaccos are reasonably priced at about 50 cents per ml, but I sure would like to do it myself.

PGA is pure grain alcohol. Essentially vodka, Everclear is a brand that can contain an extremely high amount of alcohol by volume usually 75.5 or 95 percent. For extraction purposes, you want the highest alcohol content possible.
goodejuice.com has had their own line of NETs for at least the past 5 years. They are some of the best on the market IMO. Check out their Vita Bella and their Patriot.
I am still a bit early on in my DIY journey but I have toyed with getting a couple of Acid cigars from the humidor and trying a NET extraction. It may be a fun experiment.
Hey. There is a good market, it's just not well known. There are a lot of good threads on ECF you should check out. It seems the one you posted just ends up becoming an ad. I took a break on my nets but need to get back to them. It might be better to extract everything separately, then mix extracts instead of blending first, unless one really knows what they're doing when blending tobacco. Good luck on the extracting adventure.
So I've been DIYing for some time but never tried my hand at NET. I hope this isn't a dumb question. But does NET taste like that tobacco tastes when you smoke it or the way the tobacco smells? Or can you give any insight into how the tobacco taste translates to NET?
Smells, for sure. I was a pipe tobacco convert to vaping, and could only "fully" simulate the combustion of my favorite blends after my coil had actually carmalised some of the sugars in the extraction. Gross, but it helped me through those first weeks of getting off the cancerous stuff.
So far, it does taste like they smell.. which didn't surprise me, but I didn't expect that. I got hooked on pipe tobacco when I started vaping pipe tobaccos with an actual vaporizer. The vaporizers, which are traditionally used for dried leaf (the green stuff). :)
And man, did some of those pipe tobaccos taste soooo freaking amazing. I found a couple, I believe they are called, "aeromatic" flavors, which I believe are looked down upon as a womans pipe tobacco. But I found the "manly" tobaccos vaped, tasted like straight bonfire, how burning wood smells. Which is fucking gross. So these aeromatics were tasty and sweet/sour.
Now when I have extracted these favorites, they taste different, more of like they smell. So I was thinking, what if I took a blow torch and slightly burned or "browned" the top layer and then dump in the PG?? Wonder if that will help bring out the burning taste.
Has anyone ever done this before starting the extract process???
