Hello everyone!
I am a complete beginner to mixing, and have been experimenting at home making my own mixes using what i have here.
Basically, i am making simple juices using VG + Flavor. Works a charm. But i want to do more.
My issue here is, most of the extracting instructions here require you to put # of Spoons of spice into a #ml of PG. I do NOT have access to PG where i live. I tried purchasing it from pharmacies(where i got my VG), but they do not have it. Ordering from out of the country is also a negative since they have placed restrictions on the import of ANYTHING E-cig related, including flavors.
So it comes to me asking, is it acceptable to use the Food flavors i have(which are PG based) and mix in spices into it? Like, if i put cloves + orange flavor and boil it (or follow the instructions), would it be safe to vape?
I tried the search function to see if i can find anything similar but yielded nothing (or i suck at searching) and i really want to make sure if it is okay!
Excuse the beginner question and mentality :) I am very new to this.
Cheers!
You should still be able to order PG. It's used in lotions and soap which you can make at home. Same with the flavorings. Unless it comes from a vender that supplies vaping gear. They can't really ban vg, pf, or flavorings. They all have a purpose outside of vaping. Hell we merely adopted them for our use.
With that being said you can use vg instead. It just won't be as concentrated and your results may not be worth the effort.
If you are producing an oil, it's probably not safe to vape. I believe the items you mentioned (clove and orange) are going to produce an oil, and that will not be good for your lungs. That's just my two cents on the subject - I am not a medial professional or an expert.
I am confused. most guides state that putting cloves or other spices in PG/Vg is the way to extract the flavor. Wasn't aware of the oil or it wasnt mentioned.
I don't know anything about the guides. My understanding is that you do not want oil in your lungs. It's your choice, but I personally wouldn't vape orange or clove oil, even in small quantities.
