We did cake (including yellow cake) just a couple weeks ago.

Maybe they want an encore..?

I have thought about some the older ones again.

Strawberry, custard, ect.

Sense people have been branching out to "new" flavor manufacturers (inw, mf, nf to name a few) I think that there could be a lot of new information to share. What do you think?

TFA Strawberry (Ripe)

1 points

by Orwelian84over 9 years agoPâtissier

As an aside, I like 2% TFA Strawberry with 1% Strawberry (Ripe). The regular brings the body and mid-notes and the Ripe sits on top and rounds the whole thing out.

TFA Juicy Peach

by NotCharlesMansonover 9 years ago

Peach was already done. Also, this is for an overall flavor, not just one specific manufacturer's flavor.

by PROMODZoCOMover 9 years ago

Oops! Super sorry about that. I'll pay more attention

Haha no problem.

Tobacco blends - There are so many that are crap I know that a great many of us would appreciate if the sub focused on that for a week. Lots of room for growth in that part of the flavor space.

by NotCharlesMansonover 9 years ago

/u/bobbysavage has some really good notes over on r/CloudCollective you should check out. He's done quite a few tobacco flavor reviews.

I feel like im documenting my descent into madness. Maybe alert an admin if I start reviewing random cats.

1 points

by Baphometover 9 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Reviews are good, but single flavor percentages and flavor descriptions seem to be the overall theme there... I'd really like to see some recipes, though I realize that ocean is as wide as it is deep and as such is probably as much a PITA with respect to the idea that "good" is as subjective any one person's personal preferences....

As an aside, /u/daath, any plans (or suggestions) to adding a tag functionality to ELR for flavor profiles? Don't get me wrong, I love the ability to search by single/multiple flavor(s), just think it would be immensely helpful to have the ability to categorizing, or searching by, flavor types...

by bobbysavageover 9 years agoExtractor

There is also a tobacco recipe thread but, the the progress is slow at the moment. I have some guinea pigs to test my recipes on, but ultimately you are correct, I dont wanna release any fuck shit. The other issue is few tobaccos recipes are shake n vape/a representation of what it will taste like 1-6 weeks from now.

I agree though that the sub is tobac review centric atm. We are trying to change that

g2g laters

Edit: that was written hastily while gf wanted to go out

Yes, when the flavor database gets a re-working, there's gonna be categorization and tags I think :) The ratings is going to get better as well (like the recipes are now)...

FA Condensed milk is one I feel has a ton of uses, but no recipes.

1 points

by lirrupingover 9 years ago

Please clarify what you mean?

1 points

by phantom240over 9 years agoPâtissier

On ELR, there are almost no recipes utilizing the flavor, though I know that (in baking) Key Lime Pie uses a good bit of condensed milk.

I accidentally ordered the wrong size bottle of this once and have a shitload of it lying around and not sure what to do with.

I have a 120ml bottle that goes in a watermelon recipe, I love it but I haven't seen too many applications for it.

1 points

by BuryMeInSmokeover 9 years ago

Is the recipe just UV and watermelon or have you got other stuff in there as well? Got some UV and don't really know what to do with it.

I'd like to see some more of the ones that people have more difficulty with. Chocolate? Cherry of the not cough syrup variety?

Strawberry. Pros and cons of the thousand different kinds. I can never seem to get the strawberry to punch just right.
