I used to be a long-time smoker. In my college times of being low on money, I had to resort to smoking tobacco out of a pipe/rolling to save money. There was this one honey-tobacco blend that I always enjoyed from my local shop in Gainesville, and I've been trying to get something close since. After tasting "honey bee" I was pretty satisfied with the flavor, but felt the need to tweak it a little.
After some tweaking and playing around, I came up with this flavor. The combination of biscuit/graham cracker really helps make a nice tobacco base. It tastes just like a tobacco blend, but there's no tobacco flavors involved--it also tastes slightly like a honey-covered bakery treat. It has slight bite to the mix as you'll find in a lot of tobacco flavors, but it's not extreme at all.
Don't have all the flavors listed?
FA Marshmallow and TFA Marshmallow both yield almost identical results.
Graham Cracker (Dark) and Graham Cracker (Clear) both work, though I prefer (Dark) for recipes which feature graham cracker as one of the main flavors (i.e. Milk and Honey clones). UPDATE: Called TPA and they still use corn syrup and caramel coloring in the (Dark) version--feel free to replace if you're not comfortable using it.
Been quite some time since I posted a new recipe. Let me know what you think, and I'm always open for ideas!
Ingredient|% :---|---: Biscuit (INAWERA)|0.1 Caramel (Original) (TPA)|1 Cinnamon Danish (TPA)|0.25 Cream Fresh (FA)|2 Graham Cracker (Dark) (TPA)|0.5 Honey (FA)|0.5 Marshmallow (FA)|2
Flavor total: 6.35%

Sounds great and I actually have all the flavors to mix it
I was under the imprsssion graham cracker dark has some extra nasty stuff in it
If you have a link to share that goes more into detail about that, I'll be happy to read it over.
It used to be listed in the MSDS
but I cannot find it inside the MSDS anymore...they might have reformulated to remove the bad ingredients, but I really have no idea.
It used to contain corn syrup & caramel color, both things you do not want to be inhaling. Might be worth calling them to find out.
I was assuming the same thing, but I should have called them in the first place. Just gave them a phone call and they confirmed that it still contains corn syrup and caramel color. That's pretty upsetting, as I always enjoyed the rich, almost maple-syrup-like flavor of the dark. He didn't sound too sure on the phone, but he didn't think they changed the flavor since its release.
I do not. This is information that has been spoken of openly in this subreddit so you could probably do some searching and find it. I think the official opinion is that graham cracker (clear) is the only tpa graham cracker safe for vaping.
Been checking since you mentioned it. The thing I can find is that people say (Dark) gunks up coils a lot quicker than (Light), which I agree with. Others also say that dark has a richer flavor, which I've also noticed. As far as actual health reasons, I'm unable to find any. Feel free to share if you find any information.
Great recipe. I've been searching for ideas for a tobacco-like combo using graham and cinnamon due to some of my favorite e-juices having similar profiles (Bombies Bacco B, Charlie Noble's Soller's Pointe) I tried subbing some stuff in your recipe and found that if you swap CAP Graham Cracker for TFA Graham Dark and TFA Banana Cream at 4% for FA Honey, you get a delicious creamy banana-graham flavor that is an almost spot on clone of ITC Vapes Nilla Gorilla.
Did you end up making a tester of my flavor, or mix with what you had available? I'm curious to hear what someone thinks after they tried it. Any notes on some of your attempts to make the tobacco profile you mentioned? Any combination of flavors that brings you really close?
I'm pretty happy with this mix. In no way is it an ADV, but when you're waking up in the morning, or just did the nasty, a tobacco urge still comes up every now and again. This satisfies that urge pretty well.
I was surprised to find that cinnamon/graham make such a good base for tobacco-esque flavors. I think it's the 'bite' they both provide that is reminiscent of tobacco's bite, and then the grainy/earthiness of them both emphasize the fact. I think FA honey also brings a little 'funky bite' to the table, while also rounding it off with some sweetness.
Hoping we can discuss :)
A while back, I had been trying to mix something similar to Charlie Noble's Soller's Pointe, which is described as "Incredibly smooth and creamy with bursts of banana, vanilla, caramel, and a hint of tobacco" but have never gotten close. I had been working with graham, caramel and ry4 to make a "hint of tobacco" and it always felt like it was missing something and because ry4 needs such a long steep time, my flavors would always change too much after time. Like you said, I think the addition of a tiny bit of cinnamon and biscuit are what really rounds out the hint of tobacco by adding a little earthiness. When I saw your recipe, I thought that if I subbed FA honey for TFA Banana Cream, it might have a similar profile to Soller's Pointe. Surprisingly, it turned out almost exactly like ITC Nilla Gorilla, which is another ejuice I like.
