We are fortunate to have have plenty of talented flavor artists in this community. There are usually about a hundred recipes posted here each month, and among them certain recipes deserve special recognition. We held the Best Recipe of 2015 Contest, and it's time to annouce the results.
Congratulations (and big thanks) go to none other than /u/enyawreklaw for his recipe "Rhodonite". It's a solid recipe... I'm vaping it while I type this. Wayne's a talented mixer and valued member of the community. What surprised me most about this year's contest was that his "Bronuts", probably the recipe generating the most buzz this past year, wasn't even nominated, and when I posted the contest I thought for sure it would be the clear winner. CAP Chocolate Donut was scarcer than an honest politician for about a month there, and Bronuts was the reason.
Anyway, congratulations to all the nominees and thanks to all who participated in the contest. Wayne, your prize (should you choose to accept) is a special flair showing your "Best Recipe of 2015".
Contest mode is now off in the thread.
Thanks /u/kirkt, /u/Botboy141 and /u/skiddlzninja for doing this and keeping together such a great forum. Thanks everyone who voted the recipe! I'm so happy that this one was voted in instead of Bronuts since I think it showcases my skills much better but I can't deny Bronuts did help me gain some recognition from people who've never heard of my recipes. And I blame /u/abdada for the hype of that recipe haha. Shout out to /u/NotCharlesManson, /u/coop34 for their awesome recipes as well as the other nominees. 2015 was an awesome year in mixing, the amount of great content coming out of this place alone was insane. I can't wait to see what everyone does this year. If there's any advice I can give it is to KEEP MIXING! Thanks again everyone!
PS. Thank you to everyone supporting DIYorDIE . Doing DoD and ITM has really changed my life and not in a corny type of way and because of all you who have listened to the podcasts, read the magazine, and watched my videos I can do what I love. I'm not slowing down at all this year and I owe you all a huge thank you.
Mr. Walker, tell us..what are you planning to do with your massive earnings today?
Good day /u/Enyawreklaw
Thanks for your input in this forum . Just want to point out that your link in the reply to OP points to a spam website ( two letters swapped around in the URL ) Easily fixed on my side, just pointing it out as I don't want that site to get hits
Congrats, /u/enyawreklaw! Thanks for all you do in the community, man. You deserve it.
Man, that dude is merin-gay
A very worthy recipe, I vape it (and lemon vanilla/coconut/pistachio versions) more frequently than any other recipe. Thanks :)
Go on... especially that pistachio...
As the normal recipe but replace Fuji/Raspberry with the following
Lemon Vanilla
-
CAP Lemon Meringue Pie - 3.5%
-
TFA Vanilla Swirl - 2%
Coconut
-
FLV Sweet Coconut - 0.5%
-
CAP Marshmallow - 0.5%
Pistachio
- TFA Pistachio - 6%
We should add a CSS class to the flair that links to his original recipe submission, that way people have a quick way to find it.
Congrats! I'm actually vaping it right now, have been for a while thanks to a friend. It's one of, if not the best flavors I've ever had, commercial or diy. A big thanks to everyone who shares amazing recipes and knowledge as well; this place wouldn't be what it is without such an involved community.
