Need help mixing dessert flavors.
submitted over 9 years ago by rogeorgie

I can't figure it out myself so help please.

So I found this mothers milk clone recipe with good reviews and so on. Bought the flavours needed - tfa strawberry ripe, bavarian cream, graham cracker clean, vanilla custard, irish cream (insead of sweet cream). Mixed together strictly by the propotions, steeped about 2 weeks. Result? An ejuice with no particular flavour, just something sweet and creamy. I dont like it at all. Tried again with less flavouring - same result. I mean, It has 5 different flavors but I cant taste none of them, only sweetness, and it also pretty chemical. What am I doing wrong?

edit: typo

Irish Cream is not a suitable replacement for Sweet Cream. Those are some wildly different creams. I can't imagine Irish Cream getting along with TFA Strawberry Ripe. My guess is that is muddying up the mix.

yeah, i should try a mix without it, maybe it also gives this chemical kind of flavour.

Yep, that's exactly what I was going to say. Just mix it up without the irish cream and drop the cheesecake down a percentage or two.

That recipe has over 20% of flavoring, which explains the chemical taste in it. Would recommend cutting the Strawberry to 8%, graham crust to 2%, and all other creams to 2%. Also, as someone pointed out, don't use irish cream. If you can't procure sweet cream, omit it.

any advise of what should better go with irish cream?

There are many things to consider such as your mixing procedures and how accurate you are with them. Also could be that the flavorings just don't fit your personal palate. I myself haven't found one mothers milk recipe I enjoyed. Try some other reputable recipe.

I don't think it has something to do with the r cipe itself actually.

Try to take out the irish cream first. U can check at ELRecipe. There much decent MM clone too. If u ask me, i will go something like this:

8% Strawberry Ripe 3% Vanilla Custard 2% Cheesecake Graham Cracker 1% Bavarian Cream 1% Sweet Cream

I've only used Graham Cracker Dirty before...

And what's SWEAT and creamy?

I'm sorry, I just thought it was funny you edited for typo, but left these in there. I agree with /u/vapester68 though. I have tried recipes very similar to what he suggested with fairly decent results.
