Other uses for flavorings?
submitted over 9 years ago by Fire_Above

I bought some Soylent 2.0 recently, and ended up adding some Crunch Berries flavoring to it just for the hell of it. It's SO GOOD.

Now I'm wondering, what alternative uses have you found for your flavorings?

Shaved ice for the neighbor kids. I'm popular.

That's a good idea. Might give purpose to the shaved ice maker I have sitting in the back of the cupboard.

Check out /u/botboy141 post history. Somewhere in there is a post about shaved ice

Yogurt can be complemented with a lil of your desired flavors.

1 points

by f8lrebelover 9 years ago

Really? And it's safe? Holy fuck that's amazing.

4 points

by Tankbeanover 9 years ago

Why won't it be safe? It's the same stuff the manufacturers put in there. Just don't add nicotine to your yogurt. That would be bad.

by f8lrebelover 9 years ago

Good point. I'll try it then.

We use food flavourings for vaping! Not the other way around =)

It wouldn't be a week in /r/diy_ejuice without this question.

Add a few drops of FW blood orange to a white ale for a better flavor than real orange.

Add some FW hazelnut to your coffee.

Add some CAP cucumber to your limeade with 2 parts vodka. Shake with ice and pour over mulled mint.

by gotsanityover 9 years ago

That limeade sounds like some next level shit. Curious, how many mils do you think you use for an average flavor? It seems from the directions on some of the flavors that it would use a lot more flavor than making ejuice

Edit: swypo

Not at all. In a cup of water, 3-4 drops is enough for most flavors.

(FW) Salted Caramel ruined literally every recipe I used it in.

It tasted great when first mixed, but after a few days of steeping took on this gross, flat, un-food-like aftertaste.

It's kickass dripped into a fresh, hot cup of coffee, though. And egg nog. Or sprinkled over some vanilla ice cream. Might try it in a little Jim Beam next.

Get a shot of vodka, mix in several drops of whatever flavor you are feeling, mix it up and shoot it. Strawberry and peach work best for me.

Choco frosted donut should have been alright, but still had a scratchyness to it like when i vape it.

I make flavored "personal" lubricants with vg, water, and xanthan gum.

My sister gave me a soda stream. I suddenly became an impressive soda maker. With about 150 flavors to mix and match.

by Something_Berserkerover 9 years ago

I just got one for my GF because she loves seltzer water and I have been curious about making sodas with my flavorings. So uhh... recipe?

by commi_furiousover 9 years ago

Dude, basically anything that you do with juice do it with flavoring. It's incredible. Look up the adapter on amazon that let's you fill it yourself at a paintball place.

I make banana soda, mango soda, etc. I was thinking of making a bronut soda....because chocolate donut soda sounds amazing.

I put some graham cracker (not clear), which I wouldn't use for vaping in my protein shakes. I've also used INW Raspberry for a vinaigrette.

Right, French Toast by Cap (I think) is way too dark and strong in my experience for juice but it's amazing in coffee.

2 points

by captenplanet90over 9 years ago

Yeah that stuff is rowdy. I haven't actually used it yet, but I mixed up 10ml tester batches of 3% and 5% last night to get flavor profiles. Its so dark. Its probably too much for vaping, but it smells amazing.

I happened to have a box of brownie mix and cookie mix I was going to cook up today. Saw this post 4 hrs ago and decided to put some TPA Marshmallow in the brownies. They came out amazing. Then in the cookie mix I added TPA Graham Cracker (Clear) with a few drops of TPA Vanilla Swirl. Now I will never go back.

Great in smoothies and milkshakes. Or protein shakes in the A.M.

I'm going to experiment making syrup and hard sweets. Guess a drop or so in coffe would go down nice, too. (maybe experiment with soft sweets)
