Okay so, this started with a winter break laziness, but not-so-lazy type thing. I whipped up a bunch of juice for my winter break away from home, and I brought them with me. I didn't like some of these new recipes I tried, and I didn't feel like vaping it. I went to the local store, bought some vape flakes, and was like yo, this is it, I love profiles like this... need this now.
SO, I went out and got some more similar profiles from premium vendors and bought some concentrates to mess around and discovered a few things in the process. I will give smelling notes, followed by steeped tasting notes in the coming days for OOO Concentrates.
I purchased:
O's Cookie - Very similar in aroma, but a slight alcoholy note.
Chocolate Chip Cookie - Almost smells like banana... Granted concentrates don't always smell the same as they taste
Cookie Dough - Similar to Chocolate Chip Cookie with the banana essence
Cinnamon Crunch II - Almost smells like... Nothing?
Speckled Flakes - Smells like Breakfast Club Vape Flakes... I think we're on to something here. Glad I got 30 mls of this.
Oatmeal - Smells flour-y, which could be a good sign
Cookies n Cream - Eh
Glazed Donut - Looks like elmer's glue in the bottle. At first I thought it was a white bottle but surely enough, the concentrate looks like glue. Safe to vape? We shall find out. Smells like powdered sugar
Corn Bread - Winner of the bunch, smell-wise far and away! Smells exactly like fucking sweet delicious cornbread and I cannot wait to vape this shit. Maybe a little honey, a little AP. Or maybe mix it up with the Flakes to give it a true corn aspect. I cannot wait.
Also bought Pound Cake, but didn't bother.
I mixed up all of them at 5% in 10mls and I will taste them at 4 days, then a full week.
Now, while I went out to get a similar frosted flakes profile, I bought three juices.
Moo Elixir Vanilla Almond Milk
Teleos Experiment One
Captivape Strawberry Cereal
Not because all of them would help, but /u/fizzmustard basically jizzed over their strawberry milk and I've been wanting to try them for a minute. Why do I mention these juices? Well, Teleos is good, but its full of sweetner, and it's definitely all TFA. I'm thinking Kettle Corn and Vanilla Custard. I am not sure I will be able to replicate all of it for you.
The vanilla almond milk is light, but I can make it better and it's a profile I really like. So I'm going to work my tits off to make a delicious almond milk, and luckily /u/enyawreklaw has given a great starting point with his latest recipe. It's seriously fucking delicious, go try it. But yeah, look for vanilla almond milk in about a month, maybe less depending on how lazy and video-gamey I am feeling.
Third - This strawberry cereal is fucking delicious, but more importantly, I was fucking around with strawberry and cookie about 4 months ago and it tastes almost identical. I never revisited it after the first few tries but I can and will present something similar to this profile so stay motherlovin' tuned, my friends. Before I even knew it existed, my recipe looked something like: Sweet Strawberry, Strawberry Ripe, FA Cookie, and AP. The creams, just need to find that right balance.
So, my DIY friends, stay tuned for upcoming recipes and the rest of my notes on these undecidedly great or god awful, OOO concetrates.
Thanks!
edit:
Wow I'm so glad I never throw anything away or get rid of recipes. Lesson to be learned here, folks. I just found my bottle of "Sookie Cookie V1" and it has that same profile as Strawberry Cereal. There's definitely some sweetner in the captivape stuff, but It's actually crazy how close I was before I even knew this juice existed. This should be fairly simple :)
I have Speckled Flakes on the way as well as Milky Undertones. Really looking forward to working with this as FF is my favorite cereal. Should arrive later this week and ill be mixing as soon as the temperature normalizes, its flippin cold here!
Let me know what you find. I think a light touch of the cornbread might go really well with this and could take it over the top.
I'm thinking fresh cream, meringue, tfa vanilla custard, and a touch of marshmallow as the cream might work well. Maybe a touch AP for more graininess.
I should' ordered speckled flakes but Cream milky undertones is absolutely phenomenal. It seems ooo is hit or miss on their flavors. The oatmeal is very good, dry oatmeal. If you do a reorder make sure you pick up marshmallow vanilla and butter pecan is surprisingly good
OoO Sugar Cone is like...INW Biscuit but with a wafer flavor. Pretty impressed with that one. I ended up using it in my coney island cheesecake recipe.
I heard their sugar cone was delicious. If i like these i might get some
Thanks for the notes. I replied to this comment because I didnt want to be top level. I'm curious about your name. I'd only seen it in your username until I recently came across a music label named that. I searched to see if that was some other thing, but only came up with the label. Just thought it'd be neat if that's where your name came from. Also, like i said to joesphaa, If you want a waffle cone flavor, INW Classic Yummy Waffle is great. It's waffle cone, not a waffle. Super strong too.
Yup straight from damian lazarus music label. Use to listen heavy to jamie jones and seth troxler (he is coming to my city next week) but im more of a upbeat pumpin house kinda guy now but really love dubstep like mala and goth trad. The deep house stuff got too repetitive for me but was good before everyone discovered them and the demand increased. I do realize i sound like a hipster. Haha
Have you tried INW Classic Yummy Waffle? It's straight waffle cone. It's incredibly strong though.
sounds pretty good. Guess I'll have to pick that up, haven't tried it yet.
Yeah, it's nice. I haven't played with it much because I keep forgetting about it. You'd probably only need 1-2 drops per 30 ml though. Its good enough as a single flavor. When I tried adding it to a couple things it took over, and i just haven't gotten back to it. I think I'll try a simple vbic mix with it now.
If love to hear percentages to the strawberry for the cereal. Just what you're working with, I am really good with cereals and may know the milkiness it needs.
Theres been some new developments in the works and a fellow diyer has some ideas. Im going to play around with them and see what I can come up with. I confused cookie with another recipe I use to make. More to come!!!
I really liked their Rainbow Sherbert flavor. It's almost a one on one clone for a Canadian vape companies Aroura. I won't mention the brand since its one of the worst names I've ever heard.
A little bit of Koolada and some vanilla bean ice cream and it's done.
Very tasty as a starting base for any Sherbert.
Still working on this? Captivapes strawberry cereal is my current favorite...it'd be great to make it myself
Have you gotten any closer to the delectable Captivape juice yet?
Well, this thread ended prematurely lol. I was hoping to see the verdict on some flavors. Cornbread, freckled flakes, oatmeal all sound interesting.
Been stuck in a rut, and just tired of the usual stuff. Ooo has a great sale going thru tommorow and I am thinking of picking up a few. Do you mind giving me some hits and misses? How is the strawberry milk? Creamy undertones does get some mentions too.
I'll just send you my ooo flavors i never used. Theyre all full except for freckled flakes. I honestly forgot about them lol.
Say whaaaat? Not the reply I was expecting! But now I'm getting excited! Are you serious??
I just have to return the favor tho. What are some things on your wish list? (I know you have one). Let's make this mutually beneficial!
Honestly im strapped for time, just send some good recipes my way / pay for shipping. I dont have the time right now with work to formulate my own. If you can think of anything else let me know. Lol. Pm me with details ill ship it out soon as i can
