Whats your favorite Custard recipe right now?
submitted over 9 years ago by br4d24

Hello all, my favorite all time vape flavor is a nice heavy and creamy vanilla custard... with maybe a bit of fruit or something added in if i feel like it. I have tried a few different recipies (found and my own experiments) but havent found "the one" yet. I did some searching on here and came up with a few different recipies... but I still wanted to ask you all, what is your current favorite custard recipe?

I dont care if its packed with diacetyl, AP, ext... i just want something that will make me say "wow" after taking a vape! Apologies if this post bothers anyone...

Oh, and another thing.. I have been adding flavor notes to my flavorings as i have been using them and getting used to what they bring to my mixes - but is there anywhere that has some good notes on flavorings that i could take a look at? I use ELR alot but most of the notes people put on there are "singe flavor recommendation" percentages... which dont really help me all that much.

Although I can hardly taste it anymore, I still vape the crap out of the "leaked" (lol) unicorn milk recipe.

I'm having difficulty locating it. I found lots of threads discussing it, but can't find the recipe.

Here is the recipe I have saved in my recipes app: "Leaked" unicorn milk http://imgur.com/YFD7Uv5

Same, it's a ridiculously amazing juice but I can barely taste it nowadays cause it's my ADV.

Yea, lol.

I've lost count of how many bottles I've mixed now. Must be 15+. I have to take a break from it for a couple days every once in a while. Then it tastes great again!

Still vaping through my first bottle of it but it has potential, probably would handle having a light fruit with it quite well.

7% CAP Vanilla Custard V1

3% TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

3% TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust

More creamy/milky than custard, so I'll go heavier on the VC next time and lower on the VBIC. CGC is about the right level to add some 'meatiness' to it. Really benefits from a week of steeping.

Here's one I've been working on:

[Caramel Electra ]

Ingredient|% :---|---: Bavarian Cream (TPA)|1 Butter Cream (CAP)|2 Cake Batter (CAP)|2 Caramel (CAP)|0.5 Cream Fresh (FA)|0.5 Sweet Cream (CAP)|1.5 Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (CAP)|2.5 Vanilla Custard v1 (CAP)|3.5 Vanilla Swirl (TPA)|1.5

Flavor total: 15%

I'm not a huge fan of straight up custards, but my most recent adventures into this field yielded a simple SAV:

%|Brand|Flavor ---|---|--- 6%|CAP|Sweet Strawberry 2%|CAP|Vanilla Custard V1

Tastes exactly like it sounds. Which I found boring, so I cut it in half and threw some other stuff in there:

%|Brand|Flavor ---|---|--- 3%|CAP|Sweet Strawberry 1%|CAP|Vanilla Custard V1 3%|TFA|VBIC 2%|FA|Meringue

which definitely needs to steep for at least a few days, but turns into a sweet, creamy custard with, interestingly, a touch of almond. Don't ask me how or why, but I suspect the meringue is the perp =) Would I consider it an ADV or in any way perfected? No. But it's tasty imo.

Cool thanks! I see Meringue and VBIC used in alot of recipies - i gotta get my hands on those two flavorings ASAP!

I would consider them both must-haves :)

Yea VBIC is an absolute must for any custard or vanilla fan. It can take any ole fruit recipe and turn it into something tasty. I use it at 4-5% in a lot of different vapes. 2-3% if I just want to add a creamy note. 6-8% as a standalone.

Also for a richer, caramelized vanilla, try Inawera's Vanilla Bourbon. It's currently my fave.

I'm loving Wayne Walker's Sugar Bear recipe:
1.5% Graham cracker (cap).
4% sugar cookie (cap).
4.5% Vanilla Custard V1 (cap).

http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/307836/Sugar+Bear+by+%255B+ENYAWREKLAW+%255D.

Tastes great with TPA vanilla custard as well.

9% cap sweet strawberry

3% cap vanilla custard v2

3% cap new York cheese cake

2.75% cap Bavarian cream

2% tfa vanilla swirl

.25% graham cracker

Still playing around with %s but it's my go to. Needs a few weeks to steep

Flavor | Percent ---|--- TPA - Cheesecake Graham Crust| 4.5% TPA - Vanilla Swirl | 4% TPA - Vanilla Custard | 3% TPA - Sweet Cream | 3% TPA - Caramel | 2.5% TPA - Hazelnut | 1.5% TPA - French Vanilla Creme | 1% FA - Meringue | 0.5%

This is a very light custard with more of a caramel, creamy taste than the traditional eggy custard taste. Steeping for a few days really blends it all together. Haven't tried to add fruit just yet, but I imagine it would blend pretty well.

Hope someone can enjoy this as much as I do!

This is what I've been doing (warning: new at this):

10% CAP Vanilla Custard V2

3% TFA DX Vanilla Cupcake

5% TFA Kentucky Bourbon

Doesn't really taste like bourbon--more like a smokey chocolate to me. I like it.

I must have scrolled past thinking that no one would possibly use v2 at 10%.
