I have Flavor West Cinnamon Roll and love it but mixing it, I always have to use 10% + just to taste it. My 20 % test batch from months ago barely taste like it. So I'm scared on buying any more. Recently I've put together a journal of recipes and concepts and wanted to make a page towards Flavor West flavors but haven't tried anymore of them. Anyone have any experience?
Egg nog, yellow cake, biscotti, blood orange, they have the best hazelnut IMO. Also, you're probably over flavoring with FW cinnamon roll. Did you try lower? I use 3% and it's killer.
Cake Batter Dip, Yellow Cake (indespensible!), Pink Champagne & Tres Leche are pretty delish. Also, I like FW's Grape for an awesome, dry, candy grape that makes a great Pixy Stix flavor. EDIT: I should note that you really have to lean hard on that grape.
What do you mean by lean hard?
Like, 5%-7%? I dunno, I'm still trying to nail down that grape Pixy Stix thing, which I might be messing up with FW Sour, or TFA SweetTANGY. I haven't quite pinpointed the culprit. My first attempt was better at:
Grape (FW) 7%
Sour (FW) 3%
SweeTangy (TFA) 5%
But, then I whiffed it by adding Dragonfruit (TFA) at 1% and upping the SweeTangy to 7%, which made a muted mess of the whole damn thing. I feel like I only need those 3 ingredients, but the percentages thusfar mock me!
I think "Yellow Cake" is the big one and i bought it because recommendations here , still don't know what to use it with yet though.
Their "Juicy Fruit " style gum is excellent imo.
I prefer fw butterscotch over TFA same goes for toasted almonds, hazelnut ( more creamy) their Bavarian cream is different than TFA , blood orange, blueberry, jungle juice, yellow cake, cake batter dip, vbic is much lighter and sweeter, kiwi is good, pina colada is good too, banana split, their watermelon is the only solo watermelon i can vape
I pretty much only buy fw flavors. But I mainly do fruit, some dessert flavors, double apple, etc. And they all seem pretty good to e, haven't had to mix any over 10 percent for good flavor, a lot I mix single flavor at 8 percent. Delicious, especially their kiwi, amazing at 8percent. That's me and my wife though. Every one is different.
Ever tried the apple jacks? I have had it for so long and can never get it to taste worth a Shit. Always to deserty if you know what I mean. I also have the Hawaiian fruit punch and it tastes like cleaner no matter how I make it or how long it sleeps. And the banana nut bread smelled like fish oil when I first got it.
IF you look in the jan 2016 recipe thread you will see my recipe Deadly Cereous and in it I have used Apple jacks to good effect
I have apple jacks, don't care for it, tastes like cinnamon apple sauce. The other two I haven't had
Also try their cheesecake its pretty bomb. I like their strawberry as well as their Guava and Mango Guava is excellent as well. I make a tropical fruit greek yogurt with their strawberry and Mango Guava:
Thundabolt [strawberry&greek yogurt mix]
Ingredient|% :---|---: Greek Yogurt (TPA)|4 Mango Guava (FW)|5 Strawberry (FW)|5.5
