The purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a flavor and it's many uses.
We're not just looking for you to post recipes you have containing the flavor of the week, but looking for you to share your process as you develop a new juice using the flavor of the week.
This should help us all to better understand how certain flavors interact, and give us all a launching point to perhaps discovering new wonderful recipes. Please post new recipes created using this flavor as well as any and all tasting notes as main posts. Thought process is encouraged also.
This thread will NOT be in contest mode so the best flavors and reviews of those should move their way towards the top.
While I definitely encourage you to branch out with this flavor and use some more rare flavors, I would encourage everyone to keep it in mind that others will not be able to try your recipe and comment or offer assistance if they do not have the flavors you are using. I would also encourage you to use this week's flavor as the "main" flavor in your recipe although this is not required.
You BETTER sample and offer tasting notes on your recipe. Good luck to everyone!
This Week's Flavor is: LIME
Unlike in the previous monthly contest thread, I am NOT limiting this to any specific flavor from any specific vendor. After all, our goal here is to come up with perhaps some unique uses of the weekly flavor or combinations others may not have thought of before. This should allow for maximum participation as well!

I've posted this Key Lime Pie recipe before, but this time i'll post it with some insight.
I received TFA Key lime and other flavors in the mail. My first step is to look at recommended flavor percentages as well as other similar recipes using the key lime flavor. I mix up 4% key lime and note it is too strong for my tastes.
I mix these recipes (probably drunk) and let them sit for a week, and ultimately end up forgetting about them for 2 more after that, before tasting.
bottle 4a: (all TFA)
- 2% key lime
- 2%AP0.5 (for the crust)
- 0.5% van swirl (for a semi creamy, vanilla, sweetness)
- 0.5% french vanilla. (bc Im drunk and who cares)
- 1% lemon (complexity)
- 0.5% bourbon (attempt @ complexity)
- 0.5% ry4 double (sweetness)
Then note the key lime is still too strong, and IDK what i was thinking w/ the bourbon.
bottle 4b: (all TFA)
- 1% lime -
- 3%AP0.5 -
- 1% french vanilla -
- 1% koolada1
- 2% bav cream DX
Better but, the french vanilla is throwing off the taste, and i want it sweeter. Thankfully i had mixed...
bottle 4C:
Ingredient|% :---|---: Acetyl Pyrazine 5%|0.3 Graham Cracker (Clear) (TPA)|2 Key Lime (TPA)|1 koolada|0.2 Vanilla Swirl (TPA)|1
Flavor total: 4.5%
This mix was really good, and got me through a 4 day festival, where I camped through hurricane patricia incidentally. It now has a certain sentimental value to it. By not using TFA french vanilla, I was able to make this into a sweeter dessert flavor, and the graham clear makes everything a tad bit richer.
However I really wanted to make a Diketone free version of it and received FA Fresh Cream/Meringue and CAP Graham Cracker v2 somewhat recently.
so I looked around for CAP graham2 start%. As I was already familiar w/ meringue and fresh cream. The first thing I noticed is CAP graham2 has an overwhelming amount of vanilla ingredients. So I won't be using the TFA van. swirl, as I don't want to overpower that aspect of the recipe.
Then I mixed...
- Key Lime [TFA] 1%
- [0.5%Acetyl Pyrazine] 3%
- Cream Fresh [FA] 0.5%
- Meringue [FA] 0.5%
- Graham Cracker v2 [CAP] 1%
this tastes good out the gate, but after a week has a slight dirty undertone. (too much Butryric acid in the graham) No worries the rest aint bad so I just whip this up.
Ingredient|% :---|---: Acetyl Pyrazine 5%|0.3 Cream Fresh (FA)|0.5 Graham Cracker v2 (CAP)|0.5 Key Lime (TPA)|1 Meringue (FA)|0.5
Flavor total: 2.8%
It's pretty good, and I would mix it again. I ate so many different types of key lime pie over the summer for inspiration. My end goal was those lil yoplait key lime pie yogurt cups my dad loved so much. This just got a lil real for me so I'll say this.... if you store the bottles with polycone lids, the lime will stay prevalent in the mix. However keep another flavor on deck, because I get used to this flavor in about 3 days of ADV and cannot taste it, unless I stop vaping it for a day or two. My GF loves it though.
notes*
- my mixes are all 50/50 pg/vg
- Koolada1 = a 1% koolada solution
- AP0.5 = a 0.5% acetyl pyrazine solution
What is a polycone lid?
Lime always dies on me and it's really frustrating.
the lime may be buried under your other flavors after aging, or you may be accustomed to tasting the same flavor.
I don't have a whole lot of experience with lime yet, however I did run through a 15ml of TFA key lime very quickly. This flavor is very true to a lime taste, and has the tartness/sourness that limes carry. It blends really well with strawberry to make a skittles tasting vape. This is my preferred recipe with this flavor:
Dragonfruit (TPA): 1%
Key Lime (TPA): 8%
Strawberry (Organic) (TPA): 6%
additionally, it holds its flavor through steeping. It tastes great right away, but even after 2 weeks really carries the same punch.
For me TFA key lime at that high of a percentage feels terrible in my throat and lungs. I'll barely be able to vape that, I'd almost say it burns. At half or less of that percentage it's good though.
You haven't had any very harsh juice from going that high?
surprisingly not, it is delicious at this %. I had originally mixed it at 7% and felt it needed more lime, less strawberry, which is why I turned it up to 8%. I'm mixing around 80-85% VG though so maybe that dulls it down a bit. I'm mixing at 3mg and have only vaped this in a subtank mini around 20W.. I haven't tried it in my RDA yet as I'm out of lime
1This is a citrus explosion of flavor, I suggest 90/10 VG/PG. I used odd percentages because that's what tasted best in the end. If you like citrusy fruits this will surely make your rotation and never leave it.
Fizzy Limeade
- 3.8% Lemonade LA - best lemonade ive tried hands down
- .6% Lemon Sicily FA
- .3% Lime FLV
- .7% Lime Distilled FA
- .7% Ethyl Maltol (I use TFA's)
- .5% Tropical Punch FLV
- .2% Lychee FA
- 1% Strawberry TFA Just because it evens things out and I like a little triathyl citrate in here to blend flavors together a little bit.
Is that lemon sicily CA or FA? I don't think TFA makes that unless its new and I haven't seen it yet. This looks delicious, I just ordered FLV orange citrus and lime. I knew I should have ordered tropical citrus too :(
On my break at work, so I've gotta make this pretty quick. My SO requested a Vanilla Lime recipe a few months back, and we have been adapting this recipe ever since.
Rich Homie Lime 'Nilla.
Lime (INW) - 1.25%
VBIC (TFA) - 3%
Vanilla Swirl (TFA) - 2.25%
Marshmallow (TFA) - 1.5%
Ghram Cracker Clear (TFA) - 1%
Vienna Cream (FA) - 1%
The sharpness of INW lime is accented and counteracted by the various creams present. Marshmallow was added mostly to sweeten the mix.
Tastes great right away, best after a 48 hour cure which gives some additional reprieve from this strong lime concentrate.
Ooooh, I have all the ingredients for this. Totally mixing this up when I wake up tomorrow. I love INW lime.
This looks delicious. I don't have INW Lime so I'll sub with FLV Lime at ~0.6% and report back! I may also sub in FA Marshmallow as well... Damn that is sounding good.
I used a key lime today to rescue an underwhelming lemon meringue mix. It really picked up the flavour of the lemon too. Vapes nice off the bat and imagone it will get nicer as it steeps. I vape as i steep though as im impatient!
Key lime 4%
Lemon meringue 8%
Lemonade 4%
Bavarian cream 2%
Sweet cream 2%
All vg apart from whatever the flavours are and 0mg nic.
Simple one, but it's an acquired taste - Loads of pie crust ;D
Ingredient|% :---|---: Lemon Sicily (FA)|3.2 Lime Tahity Cold Pressed (FA)|0.2 Pie Crust (TPA)|8
Flavor total: 11.4%

You can tone down the lemon and up the lime, if you like that!
To me, pie crust has a distinct licorice note that I really like!
One of my favorites, Reanimator, full FLV flavors, smooth, sweet & creamy : [enter][enter]
- 1,5% (FLV) Cream [enter]
- 4% (FLV) Lemonade[enter]
- 0,7% (FLV) LIme[enter]
- 2% (FLV) Wild Melon[enter] Needs some days steeping for better vape experience !

I made this a couple of months ago just because I had a few flavours still out on my desk. A serendipitous day indeed! I loved it so much it became my ADV until it was gone. A number of people came up to me and asked what I was vaping, the smell was so nice. The flavours might be a bit much in total, I was mostly using up what I had and topping up to taste - I reckon you can likely keep the flavour profile and drop the percentages quite a lot.
I used 10% dark rum added to max VG, and it turned out at 70/30 for me.
Ingredient|% :---|---: Banana (FA)|10 Coconut (Lakeland)|5 Ethyl Maltol 10%|2 Key Lime (CAP)|5 Raspberry (CAP)|5
Flavor total: 27%

If anyone has any more info/experience with Flavorah Lime, I'd be really happy to hear it, because I have some, and have't used it yet, because it smells so damn weird to me. I hear it's great in certain mixes, though.
So, this is all you of my head and calculated to %'s. Since I like to mix things off the top of my head :)
I once made a delicious smoothie (litterally) containing raspberry, apples and lime. I then decided I wanted to vape it.
2% FA Raspberry 1.5% FA Lime Tahiti 3% FA Fuji +splashed with bavarian cream I think :)
