Strawberry shortcake bar by NotCharlesManson
Strawberry Ripe TFA 6%
Strawberry TFA 1.5%
Bavarian Cream TFA 3%
Vanilla Swirl TFA 2%
Sugar Cookie CAP 2%
Biscuit INW 2%
Cheesecake (Graham) TFA 1.5%
Yellow Cake FW 1.5%
This is my 1st post ever, so I hope I did it right. This has been my ADV for the last couple weeks. The strawberry and biscuit just blend together so nicely. I make the ELR version, which has strawberry ripe at 6% instead of 4%.
Thanks buddy! Would you care to edit this to make the Ripe at 6% though? I made a typo on the post here and completely forgot to correct that. It should be 6%, as it is on ELR.
AtLeast37Goats
"Lembrulee" (Sweet Lemon Tart Dessert) very potent lemon taste
Lemon TFA 12% Cream Liquid Barn 5% Sour Liquid Barn 3%
I used all VG as the base which is why the concentrate levels are so high. If you used a 70/30 VG to PG then dilute each about 10% over 100 so you'd dilute the lemon to only 10.8% of the total added concentrate. Cream to 4.5% and sour to 2.7%
Mix with a high powered mixer, I used a chordless screwdriver with a mixing tools I made out of 24g wire. Then let sit for 10 hours and repeat this 3 more times. It's a lot of work but the end result is spectacular.
Blue Calypso
Pink lemonade Liquid Barn 10% Blue Raspberry Liquid Barn 8% Sour Liquid Barn 4%
Again, I use VG base so dilute 10% each for 70/30 VG/PG
Same mixing instructions to ensure quality Tastes just like the blue calypso drink!
I'm going to have to say /u/coop34's Raspberry Custard. It's so smooth and has just the right hint of raspberry to not be too tart or overwhelming. The custard/creams just balance out so well and blend with the raspberries that really does it for me.
Ingredient|% :---|---: Apple Pie (FA)|2 Cream Fresh (FA)|1 Meringue (FA)|1 Raspberry (INAWERA)|1 Raspberry (Sweet) (TPA)|2 Vanilla Custard v1 (CAP)|5
=) What a nice surprise to come back to, thanks for the kind words! Been in the deer woods last 2 days. Struck out there, but this is a nice pick me up.
Of course! I won't tell anyone you paid me to say this.
This one gets my vote as well. Seems like I can't mix enough of it.
I tried making this one and it came across as overpoweringly raspberry with little cream. Is this the proper Inawera Raspberry?
Same thing happened to me making Rhodonite. It seems like there are two versions of INW Raspberry. One is "concentrate" which results in too much raspberry flavor in mixes (even though Wayne's recipe for Rhodonite calls for "INW Raspberry Koncentrat"). I got mine (the too-powerful version) at Bull City. I've been told that GremlinDIY's INW Raspberry does not overpower.
Yes that's the right one, how long did you let it steep? I don't even touch mine for 10 days but if I can be patient and give it a month that's when the magic happens. Of course everyone's taste is different but I have not had an issue with the raspberry being overwhelming.
Finally got to try a batch without trying to sub in ingredients because I am too cheap to go buy FA Apple Pie.
Thoughts, it's pretty damn awesome. Nice smooth taste on the raspberry, and the vanilla from the custard really plays well. It's not a overpowering CAP custard which is refreshing break for me.
Well played coop34
Out of everything I mixed from this sub this year /u/Botboy141 Ultimate Crunchberry Cereal noses out the rest. A totally wild and different take on a cereal base with supporting notes that are just killer. I was super excited because from this recipe, I couldn't put my finger on what it might taste like. I was shocked how tasty it was on my first drip.It is straight Jimmy Walker and the most unique taste I have had all year.
The Ultimate Crunch Berry Cereal (Botboy141)
Ingredient|% :---|---: Berry Crunch (TPA)|2 Boysenberry (Flavorah)|1 Coconut (Flavorah)|0.1 Crunch Cereal (Flavorah)|3 Joy (FA)|0.3 Lemon mix (INAWERA)|0.2 Meringue (FA)|0.7 Milk and Honey (Flavorah)|1.5 Tres Leches (FW)|3
I don't want to be rude, because I like a number of your recipes /u/Botboy141... but this hits my taste buds so fucking bad. I can barely taste anything beyond that nasty boysenberry. I will never use that flavor again. God I kept at it too; trying different wattages to see if maybe it worked better at a different temp. range. All were awful. NEVER AGAIN! NEVER FORGET!
The small hints of stuff underneath seem interesting, but I'm not sure if that's my tastebuds playing tricks on me... trying desperately to cling to some ephemeral slice of joy, in a world smothered in the sickly poison of boysenberry.
Mmmmm. You made me smile as I realized I still had 120ml of concentrate whipped up for this and could use a change of pace today!
lol. Exactly.. this is the perfect change of pace. The most interesting vape of the year for me. I always come back to after wading through the endless sea of strawberry, custard and ice cream recipes. Might be too non-traditional for a lot of peeps, but I love it. It is so damned creative. Thanks!
/u/botboy101 I currently have Juicy lemon, lemon FE, lemon Sicily, lemon TFA and I think that's it. Can I possibly sub the lemon mix with one of these? I have everything else...
You could sub the TFA Lemon at about 1.5-2x strength for a similar result. The original posting of this recipe discusses how the lemon is really just here to help brighten the other fruits. INW Lemon Mix is an extremely "real" tasting lemon, not candy or pledge like compared to many others. TFA would be the closest substitute but is substantially weaker.
You could also mix without and see how you like it, then try adding the necessary drop or 3 of TFA Lemon and see the difference.
OP provides some more info regarding the choice of flavors used.
I have tried mixing this three times. Each time, everything is overwhelmed by the coconut. I can't seem to get it right. I have even gone as low as one single drop in a 30ml bottle. The closest I have gotten is getting the taste of mushy cereal in coconut milk. I want to try it how it is, by I can't figure it out!
If you are using the V2 of FLV's Coconut (most likely) you should be using less than 1 drop per 30ml, closer to 1 drop per 50ml. This recipe was mixed with the original release of FLV Coconut (no longer available). The new one is about 4-5x stronger.
Is it kosher for me to nominate more than one? I was sure someone else would post this, but I guess I'll have to. It certainly deserves to be here.
Bangin' Bourbon Bread by /u/skiddlzninja
Ingredient|% :---|---: Almond (FA)|0.4% Banana Cream (TPA)|6% Biscuit (INAWERA)|1.25% Butterscotch (Flavorah)|0.5% Cinnamon Crunch (Flavorah)|2% Hazelnut (FW)|0.4% Joy (FA)|0.5% Kentucky Bourbon (TPA)|1.25% Peanut Butter (Flavorah)|0.2%
This one also gets my vote as some of y'all might have already known. The flavor is just so different, intriguing, and delicious. Great job /u/skiddlzninja
Thank you man! Glad you like it.
I desperately want to mix this ASAP, because it sounded great to me from the start, but, is there any substitute for FLV Butterscotch? I don't have it right now, but I'm planning on getting it. Can I sub with TPA, or, should I just wait?
You can actually just drop the butterscotch. It adds complexity to the final flavor, but it's not necessary at all.
Thanks for the reply, but, this recipe actually motivated me to put in another order with Flavorah. I already had everything else, I just needed butterscotch.
Anyway, I mixed it up exactly as written yesterday, which means right now it's sitting in my steeping cabinet while I struggle with my impatience.
Which reminds me; ideal steep time?
Long time reader/lurker first time commenting though. I have to agree with this being one of the best recipes for 2015.I have been lurking for many months just reading and learning how to mix. This is hands down one of the best I have gotten off reddit and mixed up. Thanks so much for sharing and I'd also like to thank all those who regularly post recipes and those who share there knowledge. I have learned so much from you guys and I'm thankful for all the info you share.
My ADV for the past couple months. This stuff just never gets old to me.
Ingredient | % ---|---: Butter Cream (CAP) | 1.5 Cinnamon Danish Swirl (CAP) | 1 Graham Cracker v1 (CAP) | 1.5 NY Cheesecake (CAP) | 0.5 Sugar Cookie (CAP) | 5 Sweet Cream (CAP) | 1.5 Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (CAP) | 1 Vanilla Custard v1 (CAP) | 3
Is CAP vanilla custard good? I've tried two other vanillas and I find it tastes like chemicals and I get no custard taste. I'm looking for straight custard without that vanilla because I've never found any vanilla that actually tastes like vanilla like when you cook or eat french vanilla ice cream. Does CAP have a straight custard?
I nominate /u/retunity's Cinapple Fritter
Cinapple Fritter [DIYorDIE: returnity]
Ingredient|% :---|---: Almond (FA)|0.5 Bavarian Cream (TPA)|3 Cinnamon Danish Swirl (CAP)|5 Dragonfruit (TPA)|0.67 Fuji Apple (FA)|4 Joy (FA)|0.5 Rich Cinnamon (Flavorah)|0.33
I made it exactly as posted, and it reminded me of the apple fritters you could get at this "pick your own apples" farm in Sudbury, MA my family used to go to when I was a kid.
We never went out into the orchards to pick our own haul, but we'd get bags of apples for apple pie and apple crisp every fall, and the shop itself had hot, fresh-baked apple turnovers, crisp, fritters and mini-pies, as well as hot, spiced cider to go. I loved going there, because the foliage was so thick and vibrant, and there were cats roaming the shop that loved to be petted, and everyone who worked there wanted to chat. It epitomized everything that was great about New England autumns.
The last time I went there, the place had kinda' blown up in popularity, and they had replaced the antique cash registers with digital ones, and the ovens were gone, so, no more fresh pies and fritters. Super sad, but, this recipe really took me back to those times, so, I bet it'll be my "comfort vape" for many winters and falls to come.
You can almost feel the crunch of cinnamon sugar and the steam of spicy apples in every hit. It's a really beautiful and complete recipe.
Dude, I didn't mix this until a week or two ago, after I already nominated two other recipes...
This is absolutely FANTASTIC and has quickly earned a spot in my top 3 ADV rotation.
It reminds me of Sycamore from Artifact, but with less a pronounced sugar glaze. Such a wonderful mix man, unbelievable.
/u/returnity should be proud of this one.
It's amazingly delicious, isn't it? It's one of those magical recipes that doesn't make me want to change a single note.
I mixed up another bottle recently, and I'm trying to be good and give it at least a solid 2 weeks this time (I vaped the 1st bottle after, like, 8 days), but it's hard.
So good. So, so, so good.
Addy's Yogurt http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/198974/addy%2527s+Yogurt Never seen Fresh03 in these parts but ill represent for the fella. Damn good mix and I'm sure some of you have tried this even if you say you haven't :-) Btw Happy New Year to errbody. 2016 is going to be an awesome year for vaping and diy. Peace n Love Edit. Description. Yes the Greek yogurt is high but these %'s are for the Greek yogurt lovers. The tartness and smack you in the face punginess goes away after 3 or 4 days. This mix finally got me into diy and I still like to mix this up every few weeks. This mix was made by Fresh03 from the youtubes and inspired by Addy Tuney (a vaping wizard as some will say) :-)
Bavarian cream TFA 1.3%.
Blueberry extra TFA 3.3%.
Greek Yogurt TFA 8%.
Kiwi FW 4%.
Red Touch Strawberry FA 3.3%.
i thought for sure this would be awful. I smelled the TPA greek yogurt and almost puked, it has a very gross smell to me.
Then I mixed it up and wow this is an ADV for sure, such a unique soft and delicious flavor.
I've got a big bottle of Greek Yogurt that I've been scared to mix with. The smell from the bottle is absolutely terrible.
The taste isn't anything like the smell? Maybe it's just the ingredients in the recipe taming it.
It must be because this recipe is very good. I cant imagine single flavor greek yogurt being good at all, the smell is certainly awful.
It has really good reviews for a reason. Its very different which is nice because everything else is just X's and cream at the moment.
Ishould note I used Kiwi Double and Strawberry Sweet as replacements because I didnt have the others.

As much as I love this post, I really don't want some newbie to come in here and make this...lol. Sorry had to remove.

Thanks to /u/OctaVariuM8! I've been vaping this non stop for the last week! Thanks :)
Glad you've been enjoying it! I've been really happy with it myself.
Is it worth getting torrone for or can something else be used?
I finally mixed this up Monday, and I'm having the hardest time not tearing into it, because it smells completely amazing. I'll admit, patience isn't my strong suit, but this is a special kind of torture.

I have to nominate botboy's Honey Nut Cheerios
In the last 6 months since he's posted it I've made two liters of his recipe and batches with minor variations.
2% FW Hazelnut
1.5% FA Meringue
2% FW Yellow Cake
2% FA Marzipan
0.7% TFA Acetyl Pyridine
0.4% FA Honey ~ (0.35%)
2% FW Milk ~ (2% TFA Malted Milk)
1% TFA Almond Amaretto
2% TFA Strawberry Ripe
1% TFA Sweetener
Any idea where to get tfa almond amaretto. Looked on ecig, bcv, and gremlin and noone even carries it?
Ingredient|% :---|---: Acetyl Pyrazine 5%|0.5% Almond (FA)|1.5% Bavarian Cream (TPA)|1% Cake (Yellow) (FW)|1% Cookie (FA)|2% Cream Fresh (FA)|0.5% Fuji Apple (FA)|1% Meringue (FA)|1% Raspberry (INAWERA)|0.5% Torrone (FA)|0.3%
This is just such a pleasant ADV for me. The flavor intensity is just right to be always present but not overwhelming. The sweetness is there but not too much... It's just really a well balanced and enjoyable vape.
I tried increasing the amount of raspberry but didn't enjoy it as much, so immediately went back to the OG with my tail between my legs.
I enjoyed this mix too. IMO it's Wayne's best.
Any suggestions to replace inw raspberry? Would rda raspberry sweet or lorianns raspberry work in place?
While TFA Sweet is tasty, and would still be good in this recipe at prob 2-4%, it is not close to INW. It has a strong tartness that is very distinct. If you like raz flavor, just get INW, and try my custard which is on this page too:) I use both to get a more rounded raspberry.
Are there different versions of INW Raspberry? I bought the "Concentrate" from Bull City, as Wayne specified "Koncentrate" in his recipe. But is seems too concentrated! The raspberry flavor is all I get, it dominates the recipe. Is there a "regular" INW Raspberry that would work better?
The only raspberry flavorings that are listed on INW's official site are the concentrate and shisha versions.
I use the concentrate version, and at the 0.5% the recipe calls for I don't find it the least bit overpowering..
> The only raspberry flavorings that are listed on INW's official site are the concentrate and shisha versions.
Really? Huh. I know they've removed and added some stuff over the last year or so but I have 3 - the regular raspberry (e-flavour), raspberry concentrate and raspberry wera garden

I have no idea how this won the contest. /u/skiddlzninja's recipe was way better than mine.
Yeah, I feel like I should have won if /u/NotCharlesManson's recipe hadn't have been much better than mine.
