What size shrink bands to seal your average 30ml child resistant dropper bottle?
submitted over 9 years ago by FawgmachineMixologist

So I'm looking into getting some average perforated 2 inch ones. Not sure on what size I want though. Can't really find much on this so if anyone knows, or does this, some input would be awesome. I'll be getting labels and launching my line officially by February and I want an official product to bring into shops ETC. I see numerous dimensions and would get a little larger to be save but I bet too big could cause some issues too. Sure I could easily get a few sizes but it'd be awesome if anyone else shrink wraps their bottles go seal them. I hate glass dropper bottles but I was told that its the only way for your product to be considered genuine. I know this sounds like bullshit, and it is. But I've had requests and I can get them for only double the price of my regular 30ml LDPE. For 50 cents a pop and free shipping its a steal, plus you don't have to get lids separately and their childproof. What more could I ask for! Anyways thanks in advance, you guys are the best.

If you don't need variable heat that's an option. 750 and 1000 degrees are not kind to thin PVC shrink wrap which starts to shrink at 300 degrees.

Man, the shipping on all these sites is preposterous. That first one was $25 and a $10 "small fee"?

It's for bulk orders. If it's under 50 bucks, they punish you for wasting their time.

For me personally, I make my own shrink bands. I cannot tell you an exact size, but you should look into heat shrink, and a sealer. This way I make any size bottle and they cost is very low. On average I can make 1-2 thousand in an hour. If this is a small startup company, it's a great idea. To give you an Idea, I can make around 50,000 bands for under $30

Wait what does a sealer do? I am getting a heat gun and 1000 perforated wraps for $20 for now. That's plenty and I only do 30mls. Only because they'll be $10 ea I don't see a reason for 20ml

A sealer basically melts two pieces of plastic together to make a perfect sealed pouch. So for me when a customer orders a 30ml, 50ml, and 120ml for example, I use they sealer to make custom size heat shrink pouch. Then a heat gun to make a perfect factory sealed package. I do this because I ship 90% of my juice. I never have a leak!, and looks super professional! If you ever get to that point, its a must have!
