I vape at 4mg so that's 48 litres in total I can mix up. I usually vape 10ml per day which gives me enough juice for the next 13 years :) Is anyone else prepared?
Doesn't nic have a finite life time?
It does, however you can extend the that time line by using multiple smaller bottles (less exposure to oxygen at any given time depending how much you mix), using glass bottles (tinted to prevent uv if you are not using it in a freezer) not all plastic bottles are make equal or good (See HDPE and LDPE plastics), freezing or sub freezing temp, also if you are big in to wine like I am there is somethings you can get that will inject argon into the bottles to displace the O2 that will help more.
can you tell us where to get the argon? once added the gas do you need to add a custom cap to the bottle as well?
You can find them on amazon, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Private-Preserve-Preserver-Prevents-Oxidation/dp/B0000DCS18 for example. You can also check out wine making websites, there'll be sure to have em. Like e-juice, wine making has a huge crafts/hobbyist side so there'll be a lot of info about if you google.
I get the argon from a local shop, it comes in little cartridges (kind of like for whip cream) that I put into this thing that I can put the tip into the wine bottle that will displace the o2, in the bottles I use for nicotine (250 ml brown tint) and leave a tiny bit of room at the top so i can ease in the gas.
Here is another kind of of the Cartridges out there but not the ones I used can't find them online
Here is the machine thing I use, well similar, but pretty much the same idea.
For the bottles I plan on using in the next 4-12 months I don't use a special cap. For anything beyond that, I'll use some sealing wax (again more stuff I use for wine >_> ), and then vac seal ( in case of leaking seals or breakage), that then goes into the deep freeze (currently set for -2C/28F).
If you have anymore questions I'll be glad to answer them ;p
12.5 L of 100mg in the freezer. I would've bought more but for some reason, my family also wants "room" for "food" in there. :/
Why would you need so much nic ?
I mix for myself at 12-18mg. I got my sister's BIL and SIL to make the switch from cigs and I give them juice. I also gave hardware sets, coils, etc.. to my sister's best friend, her daughter and her MIL along with liquid and they all switched as well.
I've still got quite a few family and friends that haven't made the switch yet. And I want to make sure that if and when they want to quit smoking, no deeming regs or nic restriction or flavor ban or enormous taxes are going to prevent that from happening. So I've got enough nic base, flavoring, mods, tanks, coils, rba bases, etc...to ensure that whenever they want to switch, they can switch.
It is better to have and not need, than to need and not have....
because he is addicted =P
12500ml of 100mg nic is 1250000mg of nicotine. Assuming you vape 50ml at 10mg/ml in a day that's 500mg nic per day. 1250000/500=2500. So that's 2500 days (6.849315 YEARS) IF you vape 50ml at 10mg/ml per day. Pretty enormous IMO. But then maybe he sells to friends or has a shop or something I don't know.
I buy 100 mg nic in PG , you always will get a lot more juice out of buying 100 mg strength than anything lower but many like buying lower mg.
I would buy 100mg if I could but a while ago new regulations came into effect and 48mg is now the maximum amount that can legally be sold in the EU. It doesn't really matter though because 13 years is a long time.
> 48mg is now the maximum amount that can legally be sold in the EU
Really? When did that happen? I thought it was 72mg.
Of course, it's gonna drop down to 20mg max in a few months. I assume that nonsense is still a go :(
I purchase PG and VG in gallon jugs. At the moment I have three gallons of VG and one and a half gallons of PG. I purchase 100mg/ml nicotine in 120ml bottles and transfer it to 1oz amber bottles that I keep in the freezer until needed. I only purchase one 120ml bottle of nicotine at a time. At this time I'm vaping 180ml per week so I figure I have enough juice I can mix to last me a little over a year.
I purchase about 500ml of 100mg each month. I don't need it, i just Kerri sticking the deep freezer.
I haven't done the math to figure out how long my stock will last me though.
A bottle would last you 500 days assuming you vape 10ml @ 10mg/ml in a day
Bought 3 liters of 36 mg a while ago. I think i have 2.5 liters left, and I want to buy extra. Also EU here. Where did you get yours?
I bought the first 3 litres at Hisvape but they're currently out of stock. I now bought it at vapebase.de who also have a reputation for high quality nic. It comes in brown PET bottles. http://www.vapebase.de/Vape-Bases/VapeBase-Bunker-Base/10x-100ml-VapeBase-Bunker-Base-48mg-ml::189.html
ELI5: Why are we rushing for nic?
In July 2016 the TPD will come into effect. This is going to regulate the entire vaping industry including the maximum allowed amount of nic in the juice which is set at 20mg. It also forbids the sale of juice at 20mg in bottles larger than 10ml so this will most likely completely kill DIY. This is why I and many others have stocked up on nic base.
TDP? does it come from our geniuses at bruxelles? sorry for the newb questions but I'm vaping since less then 3 months
It's actually article 20 of the TPD that regulates vaping and it is indeed the retarded brain child of the politicians in Brussels. They have done everything they can to ensure vaping is completely unappealing to smokers without actually banning it. If you or I did something like this we would be prosecuted for intent to cause bodily harm but these fuckers get away with it.
