I never realized how helpless I am without this site. Please come back soon.

I did get a notification from my monitoring system this time, but it was in the middle of the Christmas Eve festivities, so I didn't check my phone. I fixed it as soon as I got the chance though.

This time it appeared to be an actuall attack on the server. I tweaked some settings on the server, based on my guess of how the attack was being done, rebooted and fortunately it subsided.

I do apologize for the inconvenience! I'll keep doing my best to keep it up!

And I'll be moving the export/backup ticket up in queue so those of you doubting my ability to keep the server afloat is appeased a bit :) hehe

Dude you are a legend, i absolutly love that site and use it all the time. im a front end dev guy too, so i mean it when i say, excellent site. Im soo happy to hear about the import/export, many diy'er like me have come to depend on the site soo heavily, it becomes very risky having everything in one place on external servers.

Keep up the great work its much appreciated.

Wow, that is strange. Was it a DDOS attack or some kind of XSS attack?

I am in the same boat, need to mix up some juice and its down. Its happened a few times lately, definitely going to print all my recipes to .pdf when its back up this time!

Yeah last time it went down he said it was because it ran out of memory. Gonna have to cut him a little slack since it's Christmas eve and might be with family.

Second time this week. Last time I said I'll backup my recipes but I forgot. Luckily I posted some of my recipes here and managed to mix up 100ml before the xmas trip to see the in-laws (and I really need my nic fix for that!)

This is why you should just copy and paste recipes in notebook and load them on your computer or a memory card.. Never rely on cloud or an open server that has the ability to be attacked...

The site went down for a couple hours awhile ago when i was about to mix, needless to say it was a little bit of a wake up call for me.

I printed out copies of all my mixes I mix regularly. Printed copies for 15ml, 30ml, 60ml and 120ml for each mix too. This way I don't have to worry about the site going down again and i'll be set for whatever I need to make.

Just wing it. Most recipes started like that anyway. For me, after learning what I like, I can do strawberry ripe, ethyl matol, and coconut extra or banana ripe, plus some fruit I have been wanting to try. BAM! Juice.
