Looks really nice. I can't imagine how peanut butter and peppermint would taste like.. 21,5% of flavoring is also a bit steep, no?
Also it's a very "peculiarly perfect" flavor, I got the inspiration for it from Here. It's lip balm made by these guys who run a really popular YouTube channel called good mythical morning, you may have heard of them. Here's the video where they first brought it up, in case you're curious. I watch their videos every morning with my cup of coffee + vape I'm hand. https://youtu.be/OlvLMcYCAS0 (it's at the end of the video)
Wow I didn't even realize I was using 22% flavoring lol but it still tastes great! Maybe I'll readjust it accordingly to get it down to 20% and see how that turns out... Must've made a mistake somewhee between v1 and v3 with the numbers, but this batch was still amazing despite that. Not too sure how I'll keep this exact ratio of flavors but down to 20%. But hey if it ain't broke don't fix it as they say
If it tastes good then great! Don't change anything. Let it steep and see if it still tastes good. If it tastes good after a steep then don't change the recipe. 21.5 is a fair percentage. 20% isn't a rule and I wish people would stop preaching it and act like something bad will happen when you go over 20%.
I find TFA Peppermint to be pretty wintery. How's your cool factor?
Pretty mild at 3.5%. The recipe originally had 9% and holy shit was that too much
Hahaha, that'd grow icicles on your nose hair!
I just got TFA Peppermint in and already I have some ideas for recipes with it. Testing it at 3% right now but I may see if I can try to do a peppermint sugar cookie (tis the season) or maybe even a peppermint cheesecake (I dont know why but since I have a cheesecake base I like Ive been trying out so many cheesecake recipes)
TFA cheesecake? I hate it. Lol. But yeah I'm surprised there aren't more peppermint inspired e juices out there. I was surprised how much the peppermint flavor really comes across like a real mint in e juice. This recipe honestly tastes like a peppermint malt milkshake. So delicious.
I've gotta say I really enjoy the handwritten percentages instead of just a text post. I'm going to start doing this when I get my new fountain pen soon
Well yeah gotta keep a journal to document them and take notes on how to adjust the flavlors for the next batch lol
I just do that in one of the recipe apps on the sidebar.
One thing I wish it had was something that let me make different iterations of a flavor. That way I don't have to make separate v1, v2, v3, etc in the list. I guess all it would do is make the list cleaner but it would be nice.
I'm going to buy a leather bound journal and a calligraphy set to start documenting my recipes.
Hey guys, I i've gotten the flavoring down, but its not as sweet as I would like, I know some use sucralose, but this has ethyl maltol. Is this for sweetening?
I don't know about the 3.5 % of Peppermint. For me it could be a tiny bit to much.
But everything else sound good.
If you like, you could try a bit of citric acid(10%), from 0.25% to 1%. It helps a lot with peanut butter cup juices.. :)
