Sorry if it's been said before, but I'm amazed how much cleaner my coils and wicks stay since starting to diy.

Dude, there has been this wave of sweetner use that drives me nuts. All I taste on every finish of every juice now is Diet Coke...I try to achieve sweetness and never add sweetner. Dont understand why its so popular all of a sudden.

I like a couple drops of 10% ethyl maltol per 10ml of juice to sweeten it up just a bit. Doesn't effect coil cleanliness, I have no idea what they put in the cheap e juice because ethyl maltol is good IMO and it's practically free since you barely need any..

I used a lot of sweetener in my first few DIY attempts, it tasted awesome. Great flavor and mouth feeling... for like 2 days. I then noticed my coils were black and the cotton was brown. Stopped using it and instead used other creamy and sweet flavors. Haven't looked back since.

Ethyl matol is my favorite sweetener because my cotton stays white

You called it before I did. I don't understand what would prevent juice companies from using that instead of whatever shit they use. You need like 1ml of 10% ethyl maltol to sweeten a 120ml batch. Shits dirt cheap too. It baffles me how much better DIY is. Youd think the big popular companies would be able to achieve much better flavors.

Oh don't worry, i can hook you up!

If you're looking for that awesome coil ruining action, you only need to add sweetener, ethyl maltol, citric acid, saline or any flavors that contain these in sufficient quantities into your mixes. That gunked wick and coil action will be yours once again!

For an extra coil gunking adventure, use some FA Cocoa! Not only can you expect gunking, but in any decently warm atty build you'll be thrilled with the flavor of burning chocolate as well! 😉

Sarcasm aside, i use these additives (except sweetener) in a number of my mixes and just make a mental note of whether i want to rebuild in the next day or so before i grab one of these juices from the shelf.

Dat FA Cocoa. I don't think I'm ever going to use it again :(

Yup. I rarely use any additives like sweetener and the like. My last set of coils lasted almost two months. Gross for some, but hey why fix what's not broken?

I had a bottle of dragon scape left, and in 2 days the wicks were black. I've just reworked and am now vaping a vanilla melon I made. So much cleaner in the coils and wicks.

Which atty are you using? I recoil my Kanger Aerotank Mega and it barely lasts me 3-4 days. Still cheaper than buying news coils, though.

Derringer. Love the thing. Flavor is amazing. Your ejuice plays a big part in the vitality of the coils/wicks. I stay away from dark flavors and additives so that plays a big role.

I make most of my own. FA's double ry4 with a little coconut. No sweeteners, 50/50 at 12mg.

Yeah, I saw my nephew's collection on Thanksgiving. I've got my wish list, but it'll have to wait until after Christmas. Damn kids. Maybe Santa gives them coal this year and daddy gets an atty. 😉

I cant even vape most "premium" juices any longer because of added sweetener. Every single one I've tried recently from friends that hop on the hype train has so much added sweetener it makes me sick. I'd like to name a few but I wont out of respect for the juice makers. To each their own, but I'll take my vapes without any added sweet stuff. Totally unnecessary IMO.

I use sweetener, but never in my DIY. I add it to "premium" juices that need it. Also sometimes some dragon fruit.

I love it. i'm going 2-4 weeks without even needing a rewick if I only use my own juices. I was previously rewicking twice a week just to clean coil gunk.

I'm using a lemo 2 and even with my diy juice it only makes it about 3 or 4 days and it's gunked up, I don't get it

Are you using sweetener or saline? These and a few more are likely culprits

Neither. 1.0ohm micro coil, but fairly large. Requires 19 watts to heat up to a decent cool vape.

Out of thousands of recipes that I have made there are only a handful that I needed to add sweetener too.
