How I speed steep my e juice test batches. The ps4 exhaust gets it to a perfect temp - nice and warm but not too hot

Lol I imagine if I put it near my GPU or computer at all it would do that as well

Haha, great idea! Looks like I need to play some more Witcher 3 to get my juices steeped. Win - win

I like how I reignited the console wars just by sharing my steep method... Lmao

I was using an Xbox 360 to do exactly this, but then I found one of these: Imgur

Cost $4.50 and I don't have to worry about dumping juice on the console.

I'd game in 4k and set it next to my gpu.

Also I've used 4k. It's really nice, but I think that 1440p at 120hz is much nicer looking than 4K at 60hz. I can tell the difference on a monitor between 1080p and 4k, but 1440p I really can't tell the difference between 4k on a monitor sized screen. And it's so nice looking with 120hz refresh rate, trippy as all hell. I want an 8k monitor with 240hz refresh rate, hopefully that shit will be possible within the next decade lol

Yeah I'm hoping to build a nice gaming PC soon. I've been moving around A LOT the last couple years and am trying to wait til I have a more permanent location to do a gaming PC build so I don't have to worry about moving with all the components constantly. The best part about consoles is they're damn portable compared to a PC. And all my friends are too dumb to figure out building a PC which is seriously like fucking Legos it's so easy, so I gotta have a console to game with them. They can figure out dark souls and complex fighting games, and ridiculous trickshots but a motherboard, a CPU, a few RAM cards, a GPU, power source and a couple of fans/ a heat simk? Way too complicated.

Iol I had the same idea, question, how long do you leave them there? Because mines on 24/7 anyway. Thanks in advance

Should be fine for any amount of time honestly, just make sure it's not getting hot to the touch, it should feel about the same as body temp. Shake em up once in a while too.

Thought i was the only person that did this haha

What a great idea, in the winter time, I make a box around my furnace vent and leave my juice there for a few days. it gets steeped perfectly

A box? That sounds like a fire hazard lol

If I tried this with xbox one it would probably get colder. Have you seen the size of the heatsink/fan?!

Edit: why the downvotes? One half of the xbox one is fully a fan! Like a 12 inch fan! The definitely went overkill on preventing the overheating issue like the 360 had...

Ps4 fanboys downvote even this? Oh my God get a grip.

Wouldn't that make it draw more heat out?

1 points

by 7HR4SH3Ralmost 10 years ago

Yes, yes it would

No..... The heatsink draws heat from the processor but the fan is the one blowing cool air. So the heatsink is hot because it's drawing heat from the processor but the fan is still massive and pushing major cold air.... The heatsink being hot dosnt actually have a fan or anyway to blow that heat anywhere else.. That's why it's called a heat sink.

Looking at pictures of the Xbox one the fan is mounted directly on top of the heatsink as you'd expect. So it is drawing air around the heatsink and up and through it and blowing it out. Some of the air comes from outside the box but a majority will be from inside based on the pictures so it should be pretty warm.

Also it's a 112mm fan according to a website I looked at. Decent but not exactly 12 inches as you say. That would be ridiculous.

Heat /= temperature

More heat spread through an even greater volume of air = lower temperature.

Are you kidding I have a Xbox one and it practically pushes out steam

That's not right mine runs cool and has a cool breeze. Where are you I'm from the UK.. The left side is warm to the touch but the right side is definitely cool and has cool air.... HALF THE DAMN BOX IS A FAN your console is broke

I'm from the US. I literally had to buy an aftermarket fan in order for it to not be super hot

I down voted because you got angry about being downvoted. Fake Internet points, bro. What's the big deal?

by SirSmokesAlottalmost 10 years ago

Actually it's not the points it's that people are down voting which means people are disagreeing and I don't know why....
