CAP Chocolate Glazed Doughnut vindicated.

Back at the height of the Bronuts craze, I thought you were all on crack, because I found it completely unvapable.

/u/enyawreklaw suggested it might be a QA issue about CAP CGD: since it wasn't a popular flavor at the time, and then saw explosive demand, vendors may have been selling older stock.

Well, I ordered a new batch a few weeks back and finally got around to testing it, and yes, it was a lousy batch of CGD. I'm finally trying bronuts for the first time, and it does seem pretty tasty. I tested it in an atty with a wick that had a non-compatable flavor in it, so I can't tell exactly what Bronuts is like yet, but it's darn good - way better than the completely horrible first time I tried this.

I've contacted the vendor a while back, but there was never any response. I may try them again, but it's been long enough that it seems like they're just not going to respond.

Yeah man, that CGD is a fucker. After I found out how much variance comes with that flavor, I've been noticing CAP is the worst offender. TFA second. And there's very little variance with FA, except for some. It's still something I'm "researching" but if you notice anything like this lemme know. Glad to know you like the recipe too.

I have a re-bottled CAP Glazed Doughnut, it's like baby powder mixed with plastic. Definitely from an old batch and a complete waste of money. Letting you know per your request.

Try .5% flv custard & .5% Vienna cream instead of Bavarian cream & 2 drops/30ml mf dark chocolate in there if you have it. So. Good. Also add 2% regular doughnut for more bakeryness.

Not long ago I ordered me a small "re-bottle" of TPA Strawberry. Mixed it up in numerous batches, only to find that in every single one it imparted this acrid, cardboard like taste. I figured that maybe it was just me, and the way I tasted that flavor...until I ordered a 2nd bottle from a different supplier....

Complete 180; this flavor rocks and is definitely a valid strawberry addition. I was initially sent a rotten sample. Apparently my taste buds work just fine.
