...and I think I found a base for a Fruity Pebbles mix. Every time I take a pull on it, it reminds me of the Pebbles. Just needs to have a little "crumbiness" added to it, and some fruit flavors to make the flavors from the base pop.
If you haven't mixed INW Cactus standalone at 10%, give it a shot. I want to make sure it's not just my palate. It's Shake & Vape, so you'll get the flavor profile right away.
Anyone else have any happy accidents like this?
I've never mixed anything from Inawera at 10%, and I don't think I ever will. :)
Are you sure you didn't just blow out your palette?
Well it is described as a fruit juice flavor. If I had it I would probably try FA Bergamot and FA Orange with it for the citrus. TFA or FA Marshmellow & FA Meringue for sweetness.
Most people say FA Cookie is the best for a cereal. I can't tell ya until tomorrow when mine gets here. Sadly I didn't order cactus. I ordered FA Forrest Fruit.
FE Lemon if you feel you want a strong tasty lemon and CAP Lemon Meringue Pie if you want a mello lemon. The good fruity pebbles "slurp by jus" I have had in premix... I can't detect any lemon. .. Same for lime .. Key Lime or Cold Pressed, but again.. I can't tell that any was in the juice I like..
I've worked a lot on a cereal base. Here's what I learnt:
Acetyl Pryazine gives an increasing grain aspect over 0.6% but becomes overwhelming imo at about 1.4. Tried it up to 2%, it works but just a bit too much.
INW Biscuit in small amounts, ~0.5%, can add a real yeasty amount. Took it up to 1.8%, interesting to say the least. Play around with it.
FW Yellow Cake, destroys coils and adds a cakey sweet part to the mix which really boost the cookie and the AP.
TFA Rice Crispies or whatever it's called, rice snaps? I've seen it cropping up recently, haven't tried it myself yet but perhaps worth checking out.
Other honourable mentions:
- FA Meringue ~0.5-2%
- FW Hazlenut ~0.75%
- TFA Brown Sugar ~0.6%
- FA Caramel, unsure on this one. I kinda feel it should work but eh, really not sure.
Good advice! I was actually just going to start by adding 1-2% FW Fruit Rings, then adapting the citrus and sweetness after that. I appreciate the tips.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I was also going to add 0.5% TFA Acetyle Pyrazine (5% Dilution) to provide a flakey blase then adjust as needed beyond that.
Doesn't Fruit Rings have that Lemon Pledge Taste?
Isn't the Cactus what you found to replace that? "the Fruit"
I figured fruit rings would just be adding more fruit and leaving that floor cleaner smell.
I'm looking at you sideways w a suspicious glare. But I'm going to try it. Always looking for something that actually tastes like fruity pebbles.
