I've been a bit quiet recently, been busy looking for a new job/dealing with sick kids/playing Fallout 4. (Okay, mostly playing Fallout 4)
I've checked the sub a little bit every now and then and it seems as if there is some sort of massive issue going on about what can and can't be posted, as well as general bickering and downvoting in almost all comment threads.
What happened? What the hell did I miss? You guys were all so chill when I started now everyone is angry. Can we just stop fighting? :(
I pretty much ignore it all. I come here to help people and learn, not to argue. I wondered the same thing as you when i came back from a few month reddit break, it didnt take long to figure out. Now im just back to ignoring it.
I agree, I just about quit commenting. There is always someone here who try's to make you feel stupid! There is no community love to the newer people. Its the same little crew and if you not in the club you are treated like an idiot, its sad and pathetic. I don't share my recipes because everyone wants to rip you a new ahole. I will get at least 3 down votes for speaking my mind, pretty sad!
Ill give you an upvote for speaking your mind as it takes courage to do so. Im sure it seems that n00bs are singled out but you cant even imagine how many times the same threads have been posted over and over and yes, posted yet again. I understand the angst of the new folks and the borderline anger of the people who have been here for a long time. I just choose to ignore both sides and do what i can to help people.
The amount of shit posts overwhelmed the good ones. I think the change is welcomed
I mean I understand that, but it just feels a bit hostile at the moment, you know?
It is extremely hostile. Brigading has become a large issue recently. We are currently trying to find a solution to placate both sides of the fight.
Yes there were unwelcomed posts that broke the rules, but the rules also stated not to harass in the comments about it, but to downvote and report. So those bickering about the OP were counter productive.
Also I think We were all unhappy that /u/skiddlzninja became a mod. Just playing! Much love for the honey guy and all he does! <3
