I recently made a recipe I consider my best, still needs some tweaking of course but all my friends want it to the point I have to get more flavors for it. I thought it would be cool to share recipes with each other so we can all try them. Also, you guys have been a great help since the beginning. I started DIY two months ago and love it. Next to coil building it's my favorite thing to do.

- .5% AP 5% solution
- 3% Bavarian Cream CAP
- 3% Caramel V1 CAP
- 4.5% Double Chocolate Dark CAP
- 3% Peanut Butter CAP

I hope you guys have fun brewing this baby. It's best after a week of steeping but is lovely. Have fun! Any ideas for tweaking are welcome!

vaping on this right now actually. tossed it in my murse and forgot about it for a couple weeks. found it today and almost vaped the whole bottle. great recipe.
I'm also vaping this right now (minus the hazelnut) but even without that it's gorgeous. I left it to steep for 10 days and I'm loving it. Will put some hazelnut in my next order and definitely mix it up again.
I might actually have all of these flavors. I missed it in the monthly thread. Thanks for reposting it here. I would love to use some of this TFA KB. 10 day steep?

I feel like I'm the leader of a cult and you guys fear for your life if you don't tag me.
Now that my mod-mode is off, have you thought about possible reducing a lot of those flavors? 4% dairy, 4.5% double chocolate dark, and 5% rice crunchies all look a little bit too high to me. If you have done multiple batches of this, with much lower flavor %s, then great job making those flavors work. If you haven't, then you may want to revisit your flavor %s, because you may be able to make your best even better.
I don't have my recipe book with me, but my "Revised 'Nana Cream Clone" is definitely my favorite juice. My "Bangin' Bourbon Bread" would have to be my "best" recipe, though.
It's been a while since you told me this, but do you like the RNC more with Kiwi Double (unless it was FA Kiwi) or Apricot?
I use a little of both in it. I like higher kiwi now, though. Like 1% apricot and 1.5% kiwi double, dropping the dragonfruit slightly. I've been adding a couple drops of INW rhubarb just to make it a bit more tart and I'm really enjoying the results so far.
+1 for this. It looks like a Great Recipe. Just some percentages look a little steep. Of course most recipes I see on here seem to have a higher percentage then I can stand, An example is that so called unicorn clone.6% CAP SS was like four times what I can even think about vaping in a recipe.
So I would like to preface this recipe by saying I have avoided making anything in the direction of strawberry cream as it's pretty played out but a friend requested a strawberry graham cracker cream and it worked out fantastically. So I give you StrawGraham:

It tastes almost like a strawberry cereal although I can't think of any as examples. It's sort of a nice change of pace for me because I focus on fruity mixes for the most part.
I do not like to brag but this stuff is really a masterpiece lol. Pain in the ass to gather all the ingredients though, but 4 days into a steep, magic happens.

Long time lurker here, been into DIY since 2011. Threads like these are the way forward for this sub yet its amazing to see that no one with knowledge is willing to share a single recipe.
So with that in mind what else don't the "elitists" want to share?

I wouldn't call them elitists. Sure, there's more circlejerking here than most other subreddits I'm into, but if you look past the bullshit and the people who WANT to be in the 'good ol boys' club, as opposed to those who YOU consider make good recipes then its a pretty good place to check out. A lot of people think they make good recipes, get a lot of praise, say shit like "top notes" and "nuances", they say "subtle" a lot. Pairings, layering, accent. Very few make many revisions of the same recipe. Its a pain to make a bunch of 5 or 10 ml bottles that are only slightly different, and compare them on fresh wicks. So most of these circlejerkers just regurgitate shit they hear instead of experimenting on their own and reporting the progress. "I would never use those together" mean s so and so said these don't work or "try lowering the % even though I haven't tried it yet but whatshisfuckit said not to go beyond Y%. What's funny is you could make a shit recipe, get one of these silver tongue/fingertipped devils to write up a paragraph or two describing said nuances, have one of the well known users on here post it as their own, and just watch the praise they get. In fact, I challenge some of the more well known users of this sub to look in the depths of interwebs for a reeeeeeaaal shitter recipe. Not noticeably so, like 100% ripe banana, or 23% honey (all TFA), but something subtle that sounds good to the eye and tastes like shit. Make some minor changes if you want, but keep it bad. Post some words about it, why you picked the flavors, and see if you get called out

I very seldom post recipes because companies pay me a lot of money for them, so when I make something I consider "the best" or ever in the top 10% of recipes I've made. I usually just sell it or store it until I can as opposed to letting the DIYers have a go. Might be a dick move but I work in the industry and this isn't just a hobby for me. That being said:

In most of my recipes I use between 1-6 ingredients. I actually hate recipes that use a ton of flavors because usually half of them don't do anything extra to improve the juice. I am however obsessed with Strawberry Cheesecake and this recipe is the result of about 200 hours of changes/testing. At 20w the cheesecake taste will blow you away, at 40w it's a delicious strawberry dominant cheesecake. Quite diverse. 2 week steep time minimum. I don't hot water ultrasonic open top stir plate flux reduction or any of that bullshit. Just put it away for 2 weeks and shake it occasionally. Add nic base AFTER steeping.

Yeah, my team and I found all of those extra steps pretty unnecessary. They can in some(very few) situations help speed up the time needed for steeping but won't ever get it all the way. Past the mechanical agitation I highly doubt anything of benefit is going on at the molecular level. Our lab does nothing but use time after the everything is homogenized.
The "elitists" are the ones with the most knowledge, helping make others better mixers. Sharing recipes is extremely far from improving people's abilities as mixers.
Being able to follow the recipe for a great apple pie doesn't make you a good chef; knowing what goes into a great apple pie makes you a great chef.
That is true, but from my point of view (as a newbie) trying out good mixes by experienced people teaches me how to use certain flavors together, what percentages might work in my own mixes, and gives me an opportunity to make someone else's finished recipe and then experiment with adding my own twist - which again teaches me more about mixing in general and how flavors interact with eachother at different percentages.
I totally agree with you so dont get me wrong, but at the same time - not all of us wanting to try experienced peoples recipes are going to just do that over and over and not experiment or apply what they learnt from that mix, to their own concoctions.
Its like when you start playing an insturment and learn other peoples songs - eventually you want to get creative and try to do your own thing, but learning different playing styles by playing others songs can really help open your mind to different possibilities you might not have come across on your own

stop trying to divide the sub. who are the "elitists" you are even talking about? nobody owes anybody else a damned thing here. a lot of great mixers post plenty of recipes here and choosing (operative word here... yes it is a CHOICE) to not participate on this particular post isn't a sign of anything.
If I was a very experienced mixer I'd feel like an absolute asshole sharing my recipes with some ungrateful group of people who are going to turn around and call me a fucking "elitist". What's really sad to see is how unappreciative so many people on here are for what they have access to!
