Thank you and here they are
submitted almost 10 years ago by jonest27

Hi! So a week or so ago I posted asking for ideas for festive recipes. I've made 2 that I'm pretty happy with. Both pretty simple but both have their own merits and hit the festive nail on the head. I've mad a few hundred ml's of each and will probably give it away to friends and family closer to Christmas. Anyhoo without further ado, here they are.

Gingerbread House:

CAP Gingerbread 8%

FA Marshmallow 2%

TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 1%

FA Joy 0.75%

CAP Sugar Cookie 2%

TFA Sweetner 0.5

So this is meant to be a full on gingerbread house that's all iced and stuff for christmas, the gingerbread and the sugar cookie do the ginger bread bit nicely The VBIC and FA Marshmallow are the icing and work well, you don't really get the icing coming through until the end of your exhale. I think it works well in that respect. The Joy gives it that "magic" and adds sort of nostalgia and festiveness to it, then the sweetner is used as this percentage to make it sweet without muting the flavour.

Frosty the snowman:

FW Candy Cane 10%

TFA Peppermint 1%

TFA Marshmallow 1%

This one was more an afterthought as I just wanted to see what the candy cane flavour you guys suggested was all about. I was not expecting it to be menthol! But it's really good, not much to explain here, other than the marshmallow adds that candy sweetness to it. If you've not tried FW Candy cane, give it a bash, but be prepared for the menthol, it's really icy (hence the name)

Anyway, just wanted to thank you lot for the ideas and share the results, Let me know what you think

Ta muchly!

You mention Joy in your gingerbread house recipe, but it's not listed in the ingredients. What percentage are you using?

Thanks! I actually have everything and will mix this up. Any notes on how this changes with steep? VBIC is too peppery for me without at least a week steep. I'm new to using Gingerbread and it comes on pretty strong in my recipes, so I'm also wondering if it mellows with time.

Hi! So I made it about a week ago (just after my post) and it's stood since then. Didnt try it as a shake and vape, I only do that with fruity or menthol stuff. The gingerbread smells really strong as a concentrate, but it's really good in this recipe @ 8% not perfumy or anything. It's meant to be a gingerbread house so it's the main bit but it's really quite smooth after a week or however long it's been

No, thank you! These recipes seem like they capture the perfect holiday spirit. I'm close to having all the ingredients and will be adding the ones I don't have to my next order. Great flavor notes btw!

I just don't see how other people use these 8 - 10% mixes. What are you vaping on 20 Watt?

Maybe its where I don't eat rich desserts or super sweet candy. Still though.. these things are just sweet to the taste.

Flavor concentrates are all mostly smell related. I myself can't vape stuff that high. If its not sweet enough I usually go for Sweetner or EM.
