So I've been trying to nail down a good cheesecake base on and off for like a year now, specifically to make a lemon cheesecake for whatever reason, I don't have any particular favorite cheesecake, but lemon just appealed to me the most and has proven to be quite difficult. I've gone through just about every cheesecake concentrate I could get my hands on and none of them by themselves were satisfactory, CAP NY cheesecake and TFA cheesecake Graham crust being the best imo, and then the same story goes for the lemon. It's just a flavor that seems to be hard to get right. But I think I finally got something that's both delicious, and can be used for multiple fruits and other flavor profiles. Without further adieu the cheesecake base, which is delicious all by itself:
CAP- NY Cheesecake- 5%
TFA- Cheesecake Graham Crust- 2.5%
LA- Cheesecake- 1%
TFA- Vanilla Swirl- 1%
FA- Cookie- 0.5%
FA- Custard- 0.5%
FA- Torrone- 0.35%
As for the lemon, I've been adding 2-3% INW lemon concentrate which is my favorite lemon I've found so far and is delicious with this base, but I think any fruit or other topping will go really good with it so go crazy. I'm not going to go into detail on every flavor nuance but let's give an honorable mention to FA torrone because it's a new flavor for me that i think really set this one over the top. It works great in this to add a sweetness I felt most of my other attempts were lacking and adds a cohesiveness to the profile as a whole. Enjoy bitches!
This sounds great. Thank you very much. I failed at Cheesecake so much that I gave it up months ago. Just a question, what does the LA cheesecake do for it? I don't have easy access to it, so if I could drop it, it would be great.
LA cheesecake is a little more on the cheesy side than the other two so it's just in there to compensate the cream cheese of the other two. I'm sure it will still be good without. Just less in your face Cheesecake. I think it's a pretty versatile combo of flavors so experiment with it. And you're welcome by the way! Hope you like it.
I threw a mix of this together without the LA cheesecake, I'm liking it but I feel the base is lost.
I added:
- 1.5% Graham Cracker Clear
- 0.4% FA Joy
- 0.6% FA Cookie
- 0.8% Acetyl Pryazine
Also added 0.8% FA Meringue to boost the sweet egg aspect although it sounds like LA Cheesecake might fill that gap in, only one I haven't got.
This sounds great.
Been considering lemon cheesecake as my next "flavor hunt."
One of my favorite "premium" juices I ever had was lemon cheesecake from The Vape Kitchen. That and their mango sticky rice.
I've been after a lemon cheesecake ever since I heard of this one company zenvr's lemon cheesecake that everyone at the local vape shop was raving about. Didn't even get to try it myself, but that's what set me down the rabbit hole. Wish I could get my hands on some to compare. I wouldn't at all be surprised if I hated it considering the last handful of "premiums" I've tried.
Looks mighty nice. I'll try it out tonight if I can buy some VG at Walmart or something... Lol. I've been slackin' on my DiY game.
PM me, I'll send you a bottle as a thank you for that gift certificate. Even though it ended up costing me like 60 dollars lol. Gotta get that free shipping haha
No no, that's not necessary my friend. I appreciate the offer though! I received a $15 BCV coupon and haven't used it yet. If anything I'd rather give you $5 for a bottle haha.
I appreciate the offer, very nice of you.
Hmm, I've been meaning to get INW lemon mix. Do you think a little mixture of these will work good?
- .7% Juicy lemon FA
- .6% Lemon FE
- .5% Lemon Meringue CaP
- .3% BlackBerry FA
- .3% Forest Fruit Mix FA
- .8% Bilberry FA
- .5% Raspberry INW
I know this is a lot of small percentages, which people always critique me for, but I like to mix small amounts of like flavors and most of the times it makes a wonderful flavor. Kind of like Raspberry INW+Raspberry FA+Raspberry Sweet. I want to make a berry/lemon cheesecake. The lemon will make the berries juicier, and I'd prefer the berries to be a little stronger than the lemon but not overbearing. I was thinking the bilberry and raspberry as the main notes, and the highs of the forest mix and BlackBerry will go great with the lemon. I'm sure someone will say this is way too much and I'm just throwing shit together, but I actually thought about this for a while and I have notes for all of these flavors and exactly what they add to a mix.
Test it out and post the results! Very eager to find out if this would work, the flavour profile you're describing sounds delicious.
I'll try it after I finish mixing up this blue raz! I've successfully gotten a that profile with Kiwi in the mix. I can give you my kiwiberry Fluff recipe of you PM me! I'll reply with the imgr link of it.
When combining those three Raspberry flavors, what percentages do you like to use?
1 of INW/1 FA and 1.5 Sweet, along with 1% FW Raspberry too! Honestly I like any variation of this. The flavor changes when you tweak the %s, once I got deeper into mixing I discovered this. It's nice to be able to tweak tiny things for each flavor profile I'm making.
/u/Fawgmachine I would think if you added a creme base to this you would have something like froot loops. Maybe a dash of FA lime and cherry. Looks pretty good. Have you ever tried this?
It'd be more of a fruity pebbles. I'd lower the lemon a little, and add 3% strawberry Ripe. Thanks for the idea! Also, a wonderful cereal base of mine, it normally has 2% berry crunch and 1.7 fruit circles so I'm upping some of the breadiness(sp?) Also add sweet tank @ .3% and up it to taste. Trust me :)
- 2.2% Meringue FA
- 1% Vienna cream FA
- 1% hazelnut FW
- .25% torrone FA
- .5% AP
- .2% Biscuit INW
- .8% Yellow Cake FW
- .8% Fresh Cream FA
- 1% Bavarian TFA
- .5% Dairy Milk
I also suggest adding 1-1.5% FLV Blueberry Muffin. I know this is a lot of flavors at odd number, but try it, it can't hurt and I promise you'll like it. I honestly think I'm done with sweet cream for a while. I'm liking this way better without. I'm now considering making a cereal base concentrate.
> 1.7 fruit circles
I just cant stand this stuff. I heard so much good stuff about ANML - Looper and Fog Boss - Nark. I bought them and found that the TFA fruit circle mix I had made days before was better. Even though I hated it.
If you ever get a chance order some Slurp by JUC or Pebbles by Glas. You can tell Slurp did it right. You could probably just email Indy E cig and ask for a sample of it.
A big thing I see that I don't like with a lot of cereal vapes is that people make the main notes from fruit flavors. If anything I would think the Milk/creme would be higher then the cake/cookie and fruits.
Most mixes I see of "XXXXX and Creme" is always a Huge amount of X Flavor and a few drops of creme. I can't even taste the cremes in mixes like these.
One flavor I like is TFA Lucky Leprechaun. When you add fruits to it you can't add but a drop of something. This isn't a bad thing though. I enjoy this flavor with a ton of creme and marshmallow. I like to add a touch of french vanilla also. Can't wait to get some TFA Dulce de leche and try it.
> and add 3% strawberry Ripe
I am with you on this flavor. Most creme bases needs this and I myself think TFA Straw Ripe is a horrid flavor to use as a main flavor note.
I also love adding very small amounts of TFA Banana Creme and Brown Sugar to my cremes.
All three seem to work wonders to add volume to the flavors.
Sometimes I feel like I have a total different sense of smell then 80% of mixers. Even the premixed juices I get end up being thinned out. Any 30ml premixed I buy ends up making 60ml of juice.
Ok I need to quit ranting about flavors. I feel like I don't know a damn thing about mixing half the time. The other half I feel like I just need more concentrates because I am missing something in some of my mixes.
Sorry OP, I didn't mean to derail talking about other recipes.
wife just noted newest test subject ... ohh what is that oh its cheese cake you smell like cheesecake but its like... just starting to go bad .. still cheese cake but it's been sitting in the fridge a while.. sigh ..
blue berry extra 5.5% vanilla custard 5% bavarian cream 2% vanilla bean ice cream 1% Coconut candy 3% Coconut 2% all TPA and FA lemon sicily 0.5%
for what it's worth
i dont have cap or la cheesecake, just TFA cheesecake graham crust but i've been dying to mix a vanilla cheese cake so I went ahead and just mixed this:
TFA Cheesecake (Graham Crust) - 4%
Vanilla Swirl - 1%
Cookie - 0.5%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - 1.0%
Vanilla Custard - 1.5%
Torrone - 0.35%
Meringue - 1.0%
Shake and vape: not bad. Could be a bit cheesier but its not quite as vanilla heavy as you might think by looking at the ingredients. We'll see how she steeps.
Thanks for the base /u/Hodorhohodor !
