Last week I had bought two of the condiment bottles in the title from Kroger while grocery shopping to put my VG and PG into, just to make mixing by weight a little easier.
So, I went to mix two 30ml bottles up tonight (a Madrina clone and a modified Rocket Man clone), and was going to fill the condiment bottles up. But I'll be damned if I could find my little funnel to fill them. After looking at the bottle tops and at my quart bottles from Essential Depot, I figured I'd try just screwing the tops on.
That shit worked pretty well! All I had to do when I was done was wash the top and replace the cap back on the Essential Depot bottles (the condiment bottle caps weren't air tight, so I don't suggest storing your PG/VG with them on).
Just thought I'd share. I searched to see if this was brought up before, but didn't find anything (that, or searching on mobile sucks at returning accurate results). If it has, then my apologies... I certainly dint want to clutter up the sub.
Can you link the funnel you use? I've been looking for one
Honestly, it's a cheap set of kitchen funnels I found at goodwill years ago. They're actually used in my kitchen, I was just going to use them to transfer the PG/VG into smaller bottles...
Nice one. Hey, how's the modified Rocket Man clone coming you got? I love rocketman myself. Like really love it. I mixed up the clone version from ELR (Rocketman but better i think is what is was called). Wasn't to bad. I also have a modified version steeping right now I'm hoping comes out good.
Would be down to hear any info you got on your ideas or results of Rocketman tweaking.
Here's the link to what I mixed. I can't remember where I got it (I think it's on ELR somewhere). I mixed a 10ml bottle using the recipe, let it steep for 10 or 12 days and it was good, but not rocket man. Too much Graham Cracker coming through, as well as the yogurt, and not enough blueberry. It's still good, though.
Last night I upped the blueberry candy by 1% (see the note at the bottom... This change isn't reflected in the recipe). Gonna let it steep and update then. Hopefully it'll overshadow the Graham cracker and yogurt enough. If not, I'm going to reduce those by .5% each and see where I come out.
Edit: my phone fucked up and didn't post the link... Here it is- http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/341873/Rocket+Man+Clone+%2528modified%2529
Don't see the link your talking about (on my phone, could be the issue), but I'm pretty sure we're using the same recipe.
I thought the blueberry was a little weak myself. I ended up bumping it up by 1.5%. Then I pulled back the yogurt a bit and added a 2nd yogurt (CAP). Then pulled the EM back a bit and tried to get the sweetness from adding some sweet cream (CAP) and fresh cream (FA). The EM might have been muting the blueberry a tad. I don't have the recipe changes I did in front of me, so just going off memory. I've only been mixing a few months or so, so I probably went overboard on the changes instead of just changing one thing at a time.
I think it's steeped enough to try when I get home today. If it's any good (long shot) I'll shot you the correct info on the changes I made.
The gram cracker crust is obviously trying to emulate the granola part of the recipe.... I'm wondering if adding a little Acetyl Pyrazine would finish off the profile. I know people use it in cereal mixes to add the grainy like texture. I'm thinking of maybe trying that at like 0.5% and see what it does.
Sorry, my phone was the culprit on the link (see above).
Yeah, I think you're headed in the right direction, percentage wise. I may bump the Graham cracker down a bit, too, as I think you're right... It's actually the second strongest flavor coming through (but it's still good). The sweetener could also be muting the blueberry. I might try stepping that down first if this batch doesn't turn out quite right.
Oh, the process of elimination... How I loathe/love thee...
