Was posting in hopes that someone else bought USA select 100mg/ml nic in VG last week during the sale. I got a liter. Mine is batch B-3222-0062A. If so, does your smell bad?
I bought and labeled a bunch of 120ml glass bostons, shook the nic, got everything laid out to dispense it before I ever opened the bottle. Opened it and immediately noticed the oxidization. Took a whiff and it took my breath away. Damn near gagged and my sense of smell is NOT good at all. I had to smell it several times trying to come up with an adjective and the closest thing I can think of is just "rotten". I double checked my several month old bottle of Vapertek and the comparatively tiny amount of odor it has is not unpleasant like the LB.
I had to email once already about something not making it into the box (which was quickly replied to and rectified) so I didn't want to bug them more until I knew if this is normal or not. From what I've seen it shouldn't be like this but this is my first LB nic so I'm not sure. For the record, it was delivered via FedEx to my work and hasn't been above 60F since it came in. Thanks for any input y'all have.
Hey /r/DIY_eJuice. I just wanted to make some comments on our USA Liquid Nicotine. First off I want to reiterate what /u/DrMclovens stated, that you should not directly inhale any fumes put off by any nicotine. All nicotine has its own unique aroma but should be tasteless when mixed-down and vaped. The USA nicotine has a darker tint and has a strong earthy aroma compared to our NicSelect Nicotine, which has a more synthetic aroma. This is not due to any oxidization. It is just the natural characteristic of the USA Liquid Nicotine. Both USA and NicSelect should be tasteless when vaped and again the aroma/fumes should not be directly inhaled.

Can you tell us more about their extraction process? Thanks for the info you have already provided.
The extraction for the USA nicotine is done by a 3rd party lab located Albany, Georgia. I will request a breakdown of their extraction process.
Very surprising , if it's a stronger odor than VaporsTek i'm sure it's still fine as VT has very little odor imo.
When i tried MFS and ECX nicotine they had a much stronger odor but both were very vapable.
Live and learn i suppose , what color is it ?

I've only used RTS and VT nic before but even the RTS had 95% less odor than this LB and again, the RTS odor was just odd as opposed to decidedly unpleasant.
Can you pull a bit out into a clear bottle, or clear glass to get a better feeling for the color?
It's hard to tell because it's in a white bottle with little to no light in it, but that doesn't look right.
The USA nic I get from them has always had a very strong odor. I was put off by it at first, but you can't taste it when you vape it. I would call or email them about it if you are concerned though.
Is that foam from shaking it?

If you really are not happy with the nic talk to them , they respond and are nice people.
I've had no problem with 120ML ECX nic besides it being short about 20ML. Very very slight pink tone, and nearly scentless.
I received my 120 ml bottle of 48mg 100% vg from Lb yesterday and it's a slight orange color when I look in the bottle. The best way to describe the smell is a mixture of cum and a sweaty sock. Not sure if this is ok as this is my 1st nicotine purchase. I tried an unflavored mix and it was unvapeable and not sweet like I've read. I did a shake and vape with some butterscotch flavoring and it was more than vapeable. So I assume it's good.

My nic has always been clear. I would send that back or better yet, send them that pic. That's not the right color.
Where do you get your stuff? I'm going to start Diy-ing cause I'm sick of BS juice (except ADK) and spending all my money on it.
Maybe I misread but you shouldn't have to flavor your juice to make the nicotine vapeable.

You are not suppose to directly inhale fumes put off by concentrated nicotine, so we don't have a LOT of experience sniffing nicotine.

all nicotine has an un-pleasant odor, but not that strong (than again we don't purposely sniff the nicotine, so maybe it is that strong and we don't know....don't sniff it)

you said this is your first bottle of 100mg/ml correct? so it is stronger than you are use 2. so don't compare it to whatever strength you had before (unless of course you were just meaning it was your first 100mg/ml FROM LIQUID BARN than nvm)

In the end, I suggest going ahead and mixing with it, see what it taste like. if good...good. if bad, contact liquid barn.
Yeah sorry it's my first 100mg from liquid barn. I've never used anything but 100mg. Thanks for the PSA as well. I've never smelled nic but this caught me off guard since I could smell it when I opened it. I know it's not the best plan but this is at least a 2 year supply of nic for me. I have messed up before and used part of something before realizing it was off then I didn't have any recourse.

I just bought a bottle of nic from them last week because I ran out and couldn't wait for Nude Nicotine's process times.

Same here, althoough I purchased the USA-made nic. It will be here in a few days, and I really hope I don't have to start a complaint with them.

Hoping it was just a couple of bad bottles.
I'm wondering if this has to do with its bleaching process. My 120ml nic from Wizard Labs was left at room temperature in its original plastic container. 3 months in, and it hasn't darkened at all and still has this slightly pinkish color. It's a bit harsher, but it hasn't taken on any funky aromas or anything of that nature.
I've gotten 100mg VG Nic from them before, and it did have a strong smell. Try a few mixes with it and see if the smell is strong enough to push through and be tasted (it shouldn't be, but if it does there might be an issue).
I've never had LB, but if you're used to VT, it could just be a normal difference. Some nic is just stinkier than others. I've heard of fishy smelling nic still being ok. I've settled on VT nic, though Vape Clarity is good, especially for the price. They sent me a sample and I compared unflavored vt and vc, and couldn't tell much difference. I'll probably go with them on my next order. Also, I don't think you're really supposed to be smelling 100mg nic. Big whiffs anyway. I catch myself doing it, but it's not a great idea. Sorry for the mildly helpful, rambling post.
Thanks. I had no plans on smelling it at all until I saw it. That's why I had to check the VT too. I never really took any size whiff of it before. I bought LB based on reviews that said it didn't stink, that's what caused me to halt breaking it down.
Yeah, that'd make me pause too. I'm sure you've already considered it, but try some in unflavored vg/pg and see how it is.
