Says USP. High % too. Try finding the MSDS if you are worried I found no mention of heavy metals in any other MSDS that doesn't mean they are not there. PG is a petroleum product so this may be normal? Dow PG
Better safe than sorry. Get some from a reliable source. As many in the sub say: "If you have to ask DON'T do it"
As far as I can tell it should be okay. Assay should be purity, which is 99.94% in this case. The "heavy metals" part is ambiguous because it doesn't tell you what heavy metals they test for or found, and only notes "less than 50ppm" (in other words, not particularly helpful at all.) But assuming the PG actually meets both USP and Euro pharmacopoeia standards like it claims, it's probably fine.
That's just my personal non-chemist assessment, ultimately it's your decision. I'd probably use it, based on the label info (and of course as long as the PG itself appears normal.)
Is the $8 to $10 worth of PG worth the risk?
I usually buy in bulk from the pharmacy, not specifically for ecig use. The one I used just said usp etc and my vg is also usp, food grade, 99.8 and under 1ppm heavy metals. Anyway, I don't even know what the ecig shops around here use and if they are telling the truth about their products purity etc. I prefer to just buy at the pharmacy from a reputable pharma company. Also the stuff the ecig shops carry is usually heavily diluted with water, I prefer to chose my own percentage if any.
Why is there a "flammable" warning symbol in the bottom left? :)
I have seen:
Flammability of the Product: May be combustible at high temperature. Auto-Ignition Temperature: 371°C (699.8°F)
in the MSDS of another PG, so maybe they are covering extreme cases. Or they just used a container that had it pre-printed there, don't know. :)
LOL, I've never actually tried to set fire to PG, it doesn't sound possible but I guess I gotta find out..
I can tell you from shorting builds that juice is flammable, and if it happens while taking a drag it can explode in your mouth and ruin your day. I don't know if that was just VG or PG decided it hated me as well, but it does happen.

I was just completely surprised by the labeling! It seems very unfriendly to the eye, as if it's for industrial use. I guess I'm used to appealing marketing.
