5% TFA Strawberry Ripe
-
4% FW Gummy Bear
-
3% FW Shirley Temple
-
2% TFA Swedish Gummy
-
.5% Sucralose
Feel free to omit the sucralose. It helps some, but Gush is loaded down with too much sucralose to begin with.
What up, ladies? I've been working on a Gush clone since my friend asked me to a couple months back. I tried 6 or 7 different recipes until I saw /u/InertiaCreeping comment that Gush was a single flavor mix (FW Shirley Temple). I immediately bought some to try it. I tried 5%, 7%, 10%, 12%, and 15% all mixed 20/80 as Midnight Vapes states on the bottle. Although Shirley Temple is definitely being used, I didn't think it was really the only flavor being used. This definitely helped it get there, though. Sweetener is obviously being added, but it was missing a gummy aspect, and what I thought was strawberry. Maybe a tiny hint of cherry as well. That led me to trying Swedish Gummy at 1%, 1.5%, then finally 2%, which lends a little hint of cherry, as well as just the right amount of gummy when combined with the other flavors.
5% Shirley Temple felt like a little bit too much at first, so I dialed it back to 3%. TFA Strawberry was my first try at adding some strawberry. I added this at .5%, 1%, 2%, and 3%. I didn't really feel like it was adding the strawberry note that I got, so I tried TFA Strawberry Ripe. 5% felt like the magic number. That percentage adds just enough strawberry and sweetness to really give a boost to the Shirley Temple.
TFA Gummy Candy was my first attempt to add the gummy feel, but it felt like it was taking away a little from everything else. When used at a low enough percentage to barely get a gummy feel, it sort of disappeared after a few hits. FW Gummy Bear seemed like the next obvious choice. It's not as strong as TFA's version, but I feel it's more smooth and also adds more of the "powdery" feel of real gummy candies. 4% was my first guess, and I felt it was just enough, so I didn't change that.
Lately, I've been preferring sucralose over Ethyl Maltol for candy mixes. I think it gives more of a "sticky" aftertaste like real candy does. A lot of you might prefer EM due to coil gunking, as well as just preferring EM over sucralose in general. For this recipe, I think it really needs the sucralose over the EM. If you prefer using EM, the closest I got was 2.5% in this recipe. It dulls the Strawberry Ripe a bit and causes the FW Gummy Bear to lose a bit of that "powdery" feel I mentioned, but it still gets close enough to Gush.
I feel like this is about 95% there, but I've went through about 120mLs of this and I can't tell a difference between the real Gush and this recipe. Really good as a shake and vape, and only needs about 2 days to reach full potential. Enjoy!
Lookin' good, sessy.
Keep up the dashingly great work.
D'aww. Thanks, luvrboi <3
Shit, I'M that perv. :(

What was the basis for choosing strawberry ripe as oppose to other strawberries, like CAP/INW etc? I guess your satisfied with ripe after swapping out TFA Strawberry? I haven't tried Gush but assuming it is a candy profile based off these notes, wonder if INW Shisha Strawberry would work nicely as a variation.
CAP Sweet Strawberry is one of those flavors that immediately jump out at me in a recipe. I didn't get that, so I didn't try it here. I didn't use any of the INW strawberries mainly due to my thinking of most large commercial companies probably not using any of the more expensive brands that are pretty hard to get large quantities in less than 2 weeks. If I were to own a large commercial company, I would want to use ingredients that are fairly common, cheap, and easy to get large quantities in a short amount of time. I'm sure there are exceptions, but that's just my thinking.
INW Strawberry or Shisha Strawberry would work here, but at very low percentages. The Strawberry Ripe is mostly lending sweetness from the Maltol, as well as just a small hint of candy-like strawberry. INW or FA would likely need .25-.5% to give that small hint of strawberry, and in my opinion, it wouldn't be beneficial.
Interesting. So mainly as a sweetener/hint of something berry fruity going on. Makes sense. Sounds like you got it down :)
Only missing 3 flavors...damn you man!
Heh, nice to see FW get some love finally. I've been playing around with FW Gummy Bear and Swedish Fish and some other ones. Missing the Shirley Temple but I'll give it a try regardless. Might help breathe some light on my quest for a good gummy vape.
FW has definitely surprised me with a lot of their flavors. I bought into the "FW sucks" thinking when I started.
Alright, mixed it up last night. You did an awesome job! I haven't had Gush in like.. three months maybe? But this tastes almost identical to how I remember it. I do think the original probably has a lot more sweetener but I prefer this recipe. I'm pretty sure after a day or two it'll taste exact.
Again, great work. I think this would be a tough one to clone because I feel like all the ingredients just sort of blend together really well and become hard to distinguish.
