Have we done mint yet?

2 points

by o0turdburglar0oalmost 10 years ago

Would love to see mint covered here.

My shopping list during this weekend's sales was mainly mints, teas, and tobaccos... trying to mix it up a bit.

Also got some 'weird' herbal flavors like shisha rosemary/hypnotic myst/zen garden...

Gonna be a weird few months.

Apricot

1 points

by Towerfulalmost 10 years ago

i just discovered apricot. Its very nice!

1 points

by Artaserse09almost 10 years ago

Same for me. I've bought a bottle of flavour some time ago and completely forgot about it. Made a simple shake & vape recipe with milk cream lately and I'm vaping that since then.

2 points

by Towerfulalmost 10 years ago

Yeh, I've realised apricot makes anything play nicely with milk/cream things.
It works well with so many fruit, and blends it nicely into a milky/cream!

1 points

by coop34almost 10 years ago

Here is a nice use of Apricot, top post:(you may have already tried it, but its worth repeating:)

I literally just saw that. I have FA Apricot, which is nice. Chemically to the nose (straight), but nice when blended.

Tea

by STARCHlLDalmost 10 years ago

Id love to see some tea and hibiscus blends.

1 points

by squiredalmost 10 years agoMixologist

Yup, I figure tea would complement many of the other flavors we've covered.

1 points

by bleaklymorosealmost 10 years ago

working on a bunch of floral stuff right now; know of any good tea flavors? I have TFA and FA black and green

1 points

by squiredalmost 10 years agoMixologist

FW Black Tea and TFA Green Tea blend well.

1 points

by piggymonsteralmost 10 years ago

INA Black Tea - I mixed it @3% with some vanilla & HA Cream and 3% was too much, no vanilla at all came through. Next time I mix with it I'll start at 1.5% and probably go to 2%. If you like black tea it's a very good one but can overpower.

1 points

by InfinityFractalalmost 10 years ago

I did a mix with 3% TFA green tea and 2% TFA hibiscus, it was good!

Anyone digging on Papaya? or Lychee?
Very smooth flavours, that really smooth out & embody fruity things :)

Lychee has been done, papaya has not.

Id like to find a solid plum flavor

1 points

by tranceinatealmost 10 years agoMixologist

INW Plum & INW Smoked Plum

based on what i've seen, you can use them from .125% and onward. Maybe .25%

1 points

by munchidkalmost 10 years ago

Have tpa plum. Scared to try

2 points

by tranceinatealmost 10 years agoMixologist

/u/clonedejuice posted a Fruitcake recipe a while back, that used .125% each of INW Plum & Smoked Plum. It looked like a very solid recipe.

IDK what TPA plum is like, but INW's fruits are spot-on.

1 points

by Helfrd0771almost 10 years agoMixologist

I have both TPA and INW Plum. They both have there merits. TPA Plum although used at a higher percent, seems to stand out more, INW Plum mixes into the other flavors more that is. That said, INW Plum really reminds me of a fresh plum, very juicy.

An interesting combination of fruit and tobacco. I've been thinking of doing a peach tobacco lately, I'd like to find some new obscure flavours.

2 points

by NotCharlesMansonalmost 10 years ago

/u/bobbysavage would be your best bet on input for that.

1 points

by bobbysavagealmost 10 years agoExtractor

I just been sampling flavors and vaping the same recipe for weeks now. I haven't been mixing new recipes lately .

I've been wanting to make a group over at cloud collective based around this flavor profile but I didn't know if there would be any interest

~~Charles can you link em to the reviews plz? I'm on mobile, but that isn't a bad start point.~~

edit: I got home early, /u/ChurchOfSkatan you can check out my tobacco reviews over@ ://www.reddit.com/r/CloudCollective/comments/3pqhc5/workgroup_tobacco_reviews/ if you haven't already.

(sorry to spam that y'all im tryna help)

I'll create a page dedicated to recipe notes later this week, I have some in notebooks somewhere.

2 points

by SinkMixalmost 10 years ago

FLV Peach and FLV Flue Cured work really nicely together, as long as you keep the flue cured around 4% so that it doesn't disappear in a steep.

2 points

by NotCharlesMansonalmost 10 years ago

Bobby has some great notes on tobaccos over on /r/CloudCollective if you want to check them out. I'd start with some of those and mess around with some fruits thrown in there. A great peach is either INW Peach or FA White Peach. TFA Juicy Peach might work, but it's more meant for candies and just has an odd aftertaste when used with deserts and savory flavors. No experience with peach tobacco, but it sounds good.

2 points

by tranceinatealmost 10 years agoMixologist

Forget Juicy, throw in FLV peach with INW+FA White

2 points

by NotCharlesMansonalmost 10 years ago

What combination of INW and White Peach? Just picked up INW and haven't had a chance to play around with it yet.

Hey man, just putting this out there...

In Botboy's old format, he used to include a list of all prior FotW's at the bottom of every post. I thought that was a good format, and you might want to follow suit...

I've taken the liberty of making the initial list for you to copypasta.

Thanks for continuing these by the way, they are really useful.
