As soon as this is posted I will be informing the winners and parties involved with donations. Thanks again everyone!
Congrats /u/IsCharlesManson! You made a great recipe and you deserve it. That being said, congrats to all the top 10 winners, you all did a great job on your recipes.
/u/Liquid_51, would you mind making two shipments(I can pay shipping for one or both if not) so that I can get the gallon of PG/VG(I'm low on nic, so I don't wanna give that away :P) to my honorable mention?
My honorable mention is /u/blazedripstickinfool, because, while the rest of us were using widely loved flavors and going for flavor profiles that we knew would succeed, he took the difficult path and made a tobacco flavor. Tobaccos are much less sought after in this industry, and I really commend and congratulate you for going with a recipe that a lot of people wouldn't go after, and still making it into the top ten. I'm not that great at working with tobaccos, so your recipe impressed me that much more. Congratulations, and keep up the great work.
No worries we'll cover the shipping cost and we will get ahold of u/blazedripstickinfool.
Thank you for your kind words!
To be honest, I was surprised I made it this far as well. When I originally posted the recipe, I was worried it would be completely overlooked for the same reason you stated. It is really a surprise to me to see it make it to 9th place.
I am just glad that I was able to share my recipe with everyone; it makes me happy knowing people have seen these recipes.
All of these recipes in this thread are great and I am sure most people could easily pick one of these recipes to make and be satisfied. My recipe being included in this list makes me proud knowing something I made can be enjoyed by others.
I thank you and everyone else who had a hand in the organization of this contest. I believe it encourages what this sub it all about; discussing and sharing between one another to make a community that is beneficial to everyone involved.
What tobacco flavors are you looking to try next?
I don't know, there is a ton of FA tobaccos I haven't tried. I definitely want to try some of those and see if I like any of them.
FE seems like they have some pretty decent tobaccos. I really like their RY4 and their Captain flavor. I'll probably try to pick up a few different types from them too and play around with them.
I want to try to make a blueberry and vanilla tobacco, so I'll probably try to get some type of tobacco that seems it would work good with that profile.
Guys! I fucking love you to pieces. Thank you so much for this. I'm going to be using a gallon of base for myself, but everything else is going to be wrapped up for Christmas for a friend at work who is wanting to start mixing but is lacking finances. I've been using him as my lab rat for a while now, so I think this is the only fair thing to do. You guys will be giving him the starter kit we all would have probably killed for (maybe literally in the case of /u/thirdworldorder).
You guys are the best. Skidpants, your recipe makes my dingus wet. And you're the fucking man for sending some my way. And you know you're one of my besties4lyf. /u/coop34, your raspberry custard has been in my rotation at least every 2 days. You really have something special there.
Thank you to the guys here that I've been bugging for the past year (hey, /u/botboy141) with questions on everything. I'm still learning more every day, and that's what I love about this place.
Now get in line for some mouth kissin'.
Thanks for the kind words. Now hold still, line it up, and begin with that mouth kissin' you Kentucky boy! (no squealing like a pig please, bad memories).
oh no dude. it's cool
I definitely didn't want to be tagged.....^I,thought,we,had,something^special
Contest winners congratulations! please send me a message with your email address and we can correspond through email!
Well it was a given i had no chance as i am a horrific DIYer but i want to congrats all the winners , well done.
Don't feel like that, everyone who submitted a recipe did a great job, and it's an amazing quality to be able to make up your own recipes. There are plenty of people in this sub that envy you for even being able to make a submission.
I'm one of them. I haven't an original thought in my fuzzy little head. I'm extremely envious of those that can come up with any sort of original recipe so kudos to you u/surfisherman and congrats to all who entered and won something 🙌😀
I didn't submit a recipe , i know better , i was just congratulating the people who won .
Oh shit haha, a little confusing when you say you had no chance :P But the good news is that creating recipes is a learned skill, and not necessarily an inherent skill(sometimes it is, though). Just keep learning, and resources like the flavor bible and it's facsimiles are fantastic resources for learning how to put flavors together. :D
I applaud you, I've been DIY in for 5 months and still don't have the confidence to even post a recipe much less enter a contest.
Applaud me for what , i didn't submit a recipe , i know better.
There was no need to risk seriously injuring somebody which could of even resulted in death by submitting one of my recipes.
Don't feel like being charged with reckless homicide.
