I was trying to make a smooth, creamy grape mix. This recipe happened....
Grape Bubble Yum
- TFA Grape Juice 8-10%
- TFA Sweet Cream 2%
- FA Vienna Cream 1%
- TFA Marshmallow 1%
- FA Meringue 1 drop per 10 ml
I know you may be wondering, but it really does make a great grape bubble gum. Tfa Grape Juice is ok on its own, but it mostly lends the artificial grape flavor we need here. 10% is high, but this flavor can even go higher before getting yuck. Too low and you just don't taste it, really fades into cream. Ok, now the sweet cream rounds off any harshness and softens your flavor profile. Next, Vienna cream... its a lovely flavor that I use often. So, I used this to increase sweetness, while giving a brighter, perky feeling. Marshmallow gives the mouth feel. The Meringue, puts the outer coating of sugar... that little bit of powdered coating on your gum. Just a tad does this. Please try and give me your impressions. Thank you
Really sounds yummy! I understand the percentage on the grape...it's one of those fruit flavors like blueberry where you need a decent amount or you just don't taste it. The meringue is the only head scratcher just because it has such a toasted bready taste but one drop per 10ml you prolly don't get that. I'll definitely try it out
Not bad! Tastes like grape taffy to me. I'm thinking of adding banana to get closer to bubble gum. Recommended steep?
