So.. made up my first batch of DIY juice earlier today
submitted almost 10 years ago by 1Haize1Proud Sidebar Reader!

Been lurking and doing my homework for awhile and took the plunge.

Ordered up the gear and flavorings to make up some Mustard Milk, made up a 60ml batch straight away, and wow! couldn't be happier with the results. First 30ml almost gone and will be making up a 120ml batch tomorrow. Placed a $100 order for more flavorings and mixing gear, this could get ugly fast.

Thanks to everyone on here that has done (and still does) all the hard work so people like myself can just do some research and jump on in and mix. Cheers! (end shameless ass-kissing)

I started vaping to quit cigarettes, it wasn't necessarily a money thing, but I thought it would eventually be cheaper than smoking...

The first two or three months evolved into the search for the perfect Mod, tank, RDA, etc. USPS loved me! Still do as a matter of fact.

Then about 5 or 6 months ago I jumped into DIY... I've learned there are a lot of flavoring companies... they each have lots of flavors... they are all different... and I like experimenting. Then there's the scale, the pipettes, the bottles, the labels, the mixing table, the flavoring racks... holy shit, it never ends!

I now have a lab in my basement and my children call me the "mad scientist". It's sad. Then again... think of all the money I'm saving!

You are my hero. This is my goal:

Grandchild: "Hey, mom/dad. What's Meme doing out in the back room?"

My child: "Oh, nothing sweetie. She's just tinkering in her lab, again."

I want to be known as the mad scientist grandma.

As long as it keeps me off the stinkies I'll happily pay twice what I would have spent on smoking. And in the end I probably won't have saved much on DIY compared to just buying premium juice, in part due to poor planning and lots of impulse orders, but all this mixing and tinkering is keeping my mind off the urge to buy smokes so I honestly don't care :)

The opposite for me. I sell to a few friends so I vape for free.

I've also been selling to a few friends. May I ask how much you're selling yours for? I'm always at a toss up when it comes to how much to charge because at first it was just a couple people, now I have more coming to me and some asking me if I can make X flavor for them. If I'm experimenting to make a flavor for someone (from flavors I don't have and have to order) I feel I should be charging more for the final product.

I get four 3-oz. bottles for a dollar at Walmart. I put 95 ml in them and sell each for $20.

I give it away.... generally to pretty females.

My vg costs so much, I wldnt wanna charge em what I would want to make my skril back fast enough.

Last night I decided I'll make 20 10 and 5 mg/mL batches of my fav recipes in different VG/PG ratios. Then hand em out to the festy kids/my friends that want/need juice @ the next campout.

At least ideally we're all off cigarettes, so hopefully suffocation, no breathing won't be in our future.

How many recipes have you tried? Are you mixing your own type of recipes or others posted on this subreddit?
