Weirdest flavour combo you've encountered?
submitted almost 10 years ago by SgathaichFey

Okay so this is my first post so here goes... I want to hear your most messed up flavour combination that shouldn't work that just does. Or was a complete miserable catastrophe.

Did you mix up which bottle you were putting in? Adding an accent flavour and the cap fell off? Do you have a sadistic partner/roommate/sibling/pet that swapped your labels or bottles on you? Were you drunk?

I want to hear about candied tomato vapes, ice cream and French fries vapes or just any other flavour that for whatever reason you didn't just dump, but smelled and even tried, and it rocks. Or sucks. I wanna hear the ones that suck too!

As I mentioned in the thread asking this same question the other day, I accidentally made a "perfect?" lemon popcorn flavor recently. No bueno.

Find some black pepper flavor for that. Lemon pepper is tasty on popcorn.

maple/whiskey/fritos

too many RY4 asian and Aceytyl Pyrazines

    • tfa bourbon

Noob mistakes/not enough reading or individual flavor sampling

I have no idea man , i really don't . Nowadays i follow other people recipes , that was when i was trying to make good stuff by scratch . I would just add this and that and when i was done thats what it smelled like .

That mix was so grotesque if i got a whiff again i would violently dry heave , no joke , God awful stuff for sure.

I'm working on refining a basil/lemon/mint recipe. I made the basil concentrate myself, and (I think) over-extracted it, so it's super green, and kinda tastes like dope.

I just today got my order from Nature's Flavors - they have a basil extract (alcohol based). It's very clear and smells good. If your basil extracts don't work out maybe give them a shot. I also grabbed lemongrass and coconut in an effort to clone Ripe Vape's Coconut Thai. Fingers crossed.

Grapefruit/wintergreen...I can't decide if it rocks or sucks. I'm currently mint-testing for my tropical grapefruit mix and this is my first attempt at using actual mint. This one is confusing my palate and freaking me out.

TPA Coffee + __________, I tried to make it work, tasted like ass every time. I'm fairly new to DIY and haven't explored other Coffee concentrates, I fell in love with Epic Vapes' Wake n Vape and need to create something similar. This TPA Coffee isn't the answer though I don't think.

I'd nearly given up on coffee entirely until I discovered FA Tiramisu.

1 points

by contactclosurealmost 10 years ago

That's funny. That was my first coffee flavor and I never did make anything vapeable with it. I even tried some HIC tiramisu recipes. Still way too fucking strong. I should give it another go now that I understand the power of drowning something in creams.

I use it sub 2% with bakeries, hella nice.

You should try FA Coffee Espresso too! Super strong coffee flavoring, a little "gritty" of a taste, but smooths out well with creams.

Funny that you should mention that, I was just looking at that while perusing some other FA stuff. I'll definitely add it to the list of flavors I probably shouldn't buy because I already have like 50 untested flavors.

TFA coffee is alright @ 1-2% w/ a good tobacco and Acetyl Pyrazine.

You cld go to 4% but RIP your wicks, they will turn dark brown yellow w/ a slight green tint/ burnt coffee left on the pot taste.

It reminds me of teachers room coffee smell/taste though (folgers) when vaped

It's a really strong flavor. I'm not sure how safe it is to inhale coffee furanone.

I still haven't tried any tobacco flavors, but hear a few good things from a handful of people. Are they more Pipe/Cigar tobacco flavors? I might have to pick some up to try. How does the exhale smell as I don't want to stink the place up!

1 points

by bobbysavagealmost 10 years agoExtractor

It really doesnt even stink when I vape extracts of good cigars. You can read my opinion of waht makes a good tobacco over here > https://www.reddit.com/r/CloudCollective/comments/3pqhc5/workgroup_tobacco_reviews I will update this with more flavors in a week or two

I just got into a tobac. flavor conversation over here as well > https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/3tjebk/stupid_question_do_the_shisha_flavors_taste_like/cx7cmfx

not tryna be rude but that should answer all of those questions

My wife makes a juice with ry4 double, honeydew melon, cucumber, and cool mint. I think it's disgusting but she loves it.

I mixed 5% peach, 5% lychee and 5% stevia and it came out sweetly floral. It's curiously weird, but not unvapable. Hell, I keep vaping it to try and figure out what it reminds me of.

Rum and Coke. Tastes like... Rum and Coke, with a hint of cough syrup.

by meanrockSDalmost 10 years ago

Add a touch of FA key lime cold pressed and a tiny amount(.25% or so) of sucralose or EM. Helps out a lot. So does tfa Kentucky bourbon at 1 to 2% to make fa or fw rum taste like a liquor.

Tried a juice at VapeCan that is Orange/Hazelnut/Popcorn. It's one of my all time favorites. I've been working on cloning it.

The clone of Beard #64 is an unusual combination and tastes great:

  • 10% Blue Raspberry Cotton Candy (CAP)
  • 5% Hibiscus (CAP)

Ran out of juice that I could taste while I was sick. Added Menthol to a Strawberry Creme.

Worked until I got well and then was pretty awful.

My roommate keeps vaping Blueberry, Mango, Cinnamon. According to this it works though http://bakeitright.com/flavor-charts

I find it odd.
